A pair of French patinated and gilt metal and marmo nero Belgio mounted five light candelabra, late 19th/early 20th century, each modelled as a military trophy, the sockets arranged in two tiers around a tassled pikestaff, a cluster of further pikes, some draped as standards below, the shafts descending past a round shield with crossed sword and mace, above a base modelled as plate armour, with breastplate, shoulder plates and further elements, the octagonal marble bases each raised on four feet cast as gauntlets, 66cm high, 32cm wide.
