Half title, engraved title by Abaham Bosse [unsigned], 6 engraved head-pieces, 6 engraved initials and 3 engraved tail-pieces ([?]lacking front blank leaf, some light mainly marginal staining and spotting, a few darker ink spots and small rustholes occasionally affecting letters, a few leaves lightly browned). FINELY BOUND in full contemporary French tan armorial morocco gilt, the covers with central gilt-stamped coats-of-arms of Louis XIV within a garland and a repeating pattern of small alternating fleur-de-lys and crowned "L"s, the spine gilt in compartments with label, gilt edges (rubbed and scuffed, more heavily at the edges and joints, the upper cover faded affecting the brightness of the gilt). Provenance: Earl of Dalhousie (armorial bookplate); occasionally copious but not unsightly early Latin annotation with some ink underlining; from the Collection of Michael Inchbald (Christie's, 22 Jan. 2014). A highly decorative chart from Anthony Ashley's English edition of "The Mariner's Mirour" which was translated from Waghenaer's "De Spieghel der Zeevaerdt."

Original tan buckram, the spines lettered in gilt (spines very slightly faded). The second edition, reprinted and substantially expanded from the scarce first edition of 1828-38. Although dominated by the illustrations of Aubrey Beardsley, and his decadent fin de siècle aura, many other distinguished artists contributed to the quarterly, notably Frederic Leighton, Will Rothenstein, Walter Sickert and Philip Wilson Steer; contributors to the text included Max Beerbohm, John Buchan, Baron Corvo, Edmund Gosse, Kenneth Grahame, Henry James, E. A Victorian silver plated four light candelabra, by Elkington & Co, the central sconce mounted on lion mask decorated sphere above floral scrolling branches with Griffin head finials holding three further sconces, raised on reeded tapering support, the triform base decorated with three recumbent camels, marked to base ‘4219’, 55cms high. Note: Two previous auctions of matching candelabra are known. One in 2015 of a pair of candelabra bearing Elkington & Co registration diamond dated 1865, sold for £2,500 in London. The other in 2010 was a table centrepiece with candelabra garnitures, sold for $7,000 in New York.

GOLD AND GREEN PASTE PARURE, EARLY 19TH CENTURY, COMPOSITE the necklace of shamrock links set with collet-set pear-shaped and circular foiled green paste, with a detachable cross pendant with trefoil terminals similar set, with a pair of matching bracelets (seven paste deficient), stud earrings and bar brooch (pin and four stones deficient), all in original satin lined leather case necklace measures approximately 390mm, bracelet lengths approximately 175mm (6) ++Necklace- Gold tested. Pastes are well matched a mid to dark ~bottle~ green colour, lively. One paste (12 links in from end) has surface reaching cavity and there is a large bubble visible under a 10x lens otherwise all the pastes have relatively few abrasions. Light wear to the gold to the reverse and no apparent discolouration. The tongue fitting is fiddly but seems to hold well. The cross pendant has a later fitting, some deep scratches to the reverse bottom trefoil and very slight discolouration to the gold. Fits to necklace well. The pastes are in similar condition to the necklace too though one or two show some abrading. 40mmx40mm approximately. Both bracelets have safety chains and secure tongue clasps Earstuds- butterflies stamped 9 carat, made later possibly from earrings Bar brooch - Probably made end of 19th century, one end of bar shows it has been broken off. Four stones missing. There is a chain though not a safety chain possibly decorative and there would have been another on the other side; Fitted case - Necklace too short for space an there is a place for earrings, the bracelets fit the space A very unique piece unusual as its early too. In good condition paste may have an element of lead which strengthens it.

THREE DIAMOND RINGS comprising: circular diamond in a claw setting between tapering shoulders; half eternity ring set with seven brilliant-cut diamonds, partial London hallmark for 1984; graduating five stone ring sizes: N 1/2, O and L respectively ++Stone measures 5.6mmx5.2mmx3.6mm approximately, gauges as 0.6 carats approximately, there is a small nick to girdle, I/J colour, VS1-2. Shank stamped pt for platinum, light wear to the inside of the shank at the back. Each diamond weighs approximately 0.1 carats approximately, total diamond weight 0.7 carats approximately. Bright stones I/J colour, VS clarity. Makers mark F&K, hallmark only London mark and date letter. Central stone, 0.2 carats approximately, PK clarity, I/J colour, other stones weigh 0.16 carats x 2 , 0.5 carats x2, total weight 0.6 carats approximately similar colours and clarities.

TWO NINE CARAT GOLD BRACELETS one charm bracelet of trace links with various 9 carat charms including: a mouse, a St Christopher, hallmarked London 1966, a pelican, hallmarked Birmingham 1992, a shield from Guernsey, hallmarked Birmingham 1970, length approximately 190mm, 24gr; the other bracelet, 1880s, of rose gold trace links set with alternating seed pearl and turquoise shamrocks with a later clasp, length approximately 200mm, 14.5gr all in ++Charm bracelet- each link stamped 375. Other charms are: an enamel partridge/game bird, unstamped with some areas where the enamel has worn off and there is gold but not obvious; a grandfather clock, unstamped; an elf on a toadstool; unstamped; a buggler, unstamped. The links are wearing thin where they join, some light discolouration and abrading. The other bracelet- the link by the clasp stamped 9ct. The bracelet shows typical wear for a bracelet of this age, some of the turquoise are a darker colour than the other stones. Pearls body colour varies from grey to some white, low to medium lustre. Safety chain. Later clasp in a yellower gold, stamped 375 for 9 carat gold

COLLECTION OF JEWELLERY comprising: a carved chyrsoprase cross pattée pendant with central seed pearl on a Figaro link back chain, length approximately 400mm; a bar brooch of cross over design set with a circular diamond and ruby, length approximately 46mm; a bar brooch with central oval hard stone cameo within a row of seed pearls(one deficient); a three stone ring set with a central circular sapphire between brilliant cut diamonds, London hallmarks for 18 carat gold 1978, size I 1/2; a five stone diamond ring, size K; and a band ring, Egyptian hallmarks, size J 1/2 (6) ++Chrysoprase pendant has surface reaching fractures, the colour is a bright mid green colour with some white opaque areas and black inclusions. Stamped 18 WF to the reverse. The pendant measures 14mmx12mm approximately. The central pearl is slightly off round with a white body colour and blue/pinkish overtones. The oval cabochon surmount more translucent than the cross plaques. 9 carat gold import marks. Ruby and diamond bar brooch - The diamond measures 4.5mmx4.8mmx2.5mm approximately, gauges as 0.4 carats approximately, PK clarity, I/J colour. The ruby measures 4.4mm5.4mmx2.1mm approximately, bright pinkish stone with surface cavity to table, some silk seen, a lively stone. Stamped 9ct to the reverse, some discolouration. Sapphire and diamond ring- sapphire is dark with a window to the reverse, diamonds are deceptively small as are in white gold illusion settings each gauge at 0.03 carats approximately. Light wear to shank. Cameo ring - Cameo measures 19mmx16mm approximately, two fractures within the stone behind her head also some ridges to the white but both only seen only on close inspection. The reverse is nicely fluted and suggests it might have been a ring earlier. Pearls with surface wear, low lustre, grey to beige body colour. Stamped 9ct. Some discolouration to the side of the cameo. Five ring - each diamond weighing approximately 0.04 carats, total diamond weight 0.2 carats approximately. Mount lightly worn, no apparent discolouration or gold marks/ Band ring 5.5mm wide approximately. Slightly rattles. Light scratching no apparent discolouration.

EIGHTEEN CARAT GOLD AND PEARL HINGED BANGLE, 1900s the cross over bangle with bead terminals set to the centre with a half pearl cluster, French assay marks internal measurements 54mm x 45mm approximately, 7.5gr ++The gold is lightly scratched but there would have been a light bloom to the gold originally. Where the gold surface has rubbed there is a rose coloured gold beneath but this is only visible on close inspection. Some small dents to one terminal bead. The clasp and hinge mechanism work well and there is a safety chain. Although it looks small it fits around an average wrist ie 170mm. In good condition considering age of the piece.

GOLD, GARNET AND ENAMEL MOURNING PENDANT, CIRCA 1834 the circular scalloped pendant with a central foiled cabochon garnet within a black enamel foliate border, the reverse with glazed hair compartment engraved ~In memory of Lucy Boggett, died 27 March 1834, aged 49~ diameter 28mm approximately ++Diameter 28mm approximately. The central cabochon diameter measures 8mm approximately, inclusions are surface reaching only seen on close inspection. The enamel is crisp and there is no apparent surface wear. There is light wear to the gold consistent with the age of the piece and some patina to the gold. The reverse has more wear and the glazed compartment is loose in the setting. In good condition.

MEMORIAL HAIR BROOCH, LATE 18TH CENTURY of rectangular design with bevelled edge and woven hair; together with a scroll and foliate glazed pendant, 1880s; and an openwork burr and foliate brooch frame, 1830s 10.5gr all in (3) ++MOURNING BROOCH: - 22mmx19mm approximately, some marks to the glass and light wear and blacking to the frame, dent to reverse. GOLD FRAME: - pendant is missing the reverse, some greenish discolouration to the gold but can be professionally cleaned, glass only lightly worn. BURR AND FOLIATE FRAME: Claw fittings are mainly missing, also has no back, some dents to pin fastener. All in good condition considering the age of the pieces.

The record (RLP 399, deep grooved labels, 'Bill Grauer Productions Inc. New York City') is in VG condition. There are some surface/hairline marks which is perhaps most noted on side 2 with one running through the complete side; note this is surface only and not a heavier scratch. Matrix: RLP-12-399 A & B. The sleeve is in incredible Ex+ or archive condition - unbelievably still housed with the original shrink, there is virtually no wear showing to the sleeve (some light 'foxing' is visible on the shrink, not on the sleeve itself). Solid example record with a stunning sleeve.

The record is in extremely impressive Ex+ condition with a very faint and wispy hairline mark on side 2 - the record doesn't seem to have been played much at all! The gatefold sleeve is in equally as impressive Ex+ condition showing only slight wear and light remnants of a sticker on the front top left section.
