Garlick, Sir Thomas Lawrence - A Complete Catalogue of Oil Paintings, 1989, p.183, no.270b). Lady Ellenborough wrote several letters to Lawrence in 1811 regarding the unfinished portrait, saying she 'had rather have the present picture reduced to the smallest size, than relinquish the idea of having it completely finished before she leaves town' (see George Somes Layard (ed.), Sir Thomas Lawrence's Letter-Bag, 1906, pp.74-83).Portrait miniatures by Lawrence are extremely rare, with only a few known to exist in private collections.Ivory Act registration number: F87E4HXCIvory appears structurally sounds with no apparent bowing or splitting. Slight yellowing to the background made apparent by a contrasting strip of brighter painting along the upper edge in correspondence to the frame. A little dust under the glass. Occasional very light hairline scratches, mainly one to the background upper right above the figure and a few by the column centre-left. A thin strip of very mild staining to the lower edge in correspondence to the frame. The figure is in good condition with no significant fading. The frame also in overall good condition.

A Chamberlains Worcester porcelain armorial plate, circa 1825-30, decorated with the arms of the Attwood family and their motto "Vive Et Vivere Sinas", dark green border with three floral cartouches, marked 'Chamberlains Worcester' in red script to the reverse, 25.5cm diameterA few minute nibbles to the plates rear rim along with some very minor brown discoloration/glaze fritting to the same area. The panels are in good condition with no rubbing. There are a couple of light, short scratches visible through the front of the plate (to the undecorated area). Condition generally good.
A group of six assorted English cream jugs, early 19th centurycomprising two Spode imari jugs, a further Spode bat-printed jug decorated with two swans (pattern 557), unusually further decorated with an iron red and gilt border, together with two Chamberlain's Worcester cream jugs and a further unmarked cream jug, tallest jug 14.5cm high (6)Smallest Spode imari jug- heavy loss of gilding around foot rim. Tall Chamberlain's jug - scratches and some wear to orange enamel, some light gilding wear.Smaller Chamberlain's jug - again scratches and rubbing to the orange ground, with some heavier gilding wear, mainly to the handle.No damages or repairs to any of the pieces. The bat print jug has some scratches through the printed decoration and wear to gilding at the top of the handle spur.
English School, 19th century, a gypsy encampment by a pond, farm buildings in the background, oil on canvas, re-lined, 40.5 x 61cm, frame 57 x 77.5cmPrivate West Midland's estate. Part of a collection formed from the late 19th century. Thence by descent.The painting is an oil on canvas, framed without glazing. The paint surface is stable and in generally good condition. There is evidence that the painting has been cleaned. There is some dirt above the windmill to centre-left and under UV light there appears to be some inpainting lower right (see photograph). The canvas is in good condition without evidence for holes, tears and the tension is good- canvas relined and the stretcher wedges are new. The frame is later, joints are solid, some small surface scuffs.
A French art deco figural lamp, the bronze effect cast spelter modelled as a seated pierrot, gazing up at the lamp head raised on a chromium tubular arch, set on a veined black marble oval base, 26.5cm.A little rubbing in places to the bronze finish on the figure. Typical light tarnishing to chromium plate. Not tested - will require re-wiring before use.
