A kilij dating: 19th Century provenance: Turkey Curved, single -and false-edged blade, featuring remains of gilt inlays, "T"-back with remains of gold inlays, on both sides of the forte traces of gilding; brass quillon, the front surface richly decorated with cabochon (probably in bone) painted as turquoise and coral, the back of the quillon engraved with floral pattern; copper grip with bas-relieved floral motifs, at the centre a cartouche featuring a small inscription in Arabic characters. Wooden scabbard, entirely copper-plates, decorated with bas-relieved floral motifs and cartouches depicting mosques, trophies and the same inscription shown on the grip; two brass bands, decorated at the front surface of the quillon.
