We can trace only a handful of copies at auction, the last Bloomsbury, 2014 (also defective).
Wilde (Oscar) [The Works], 6 vol. (only, of 15), one of 1000 sets, light spotting to first and last few leaves, a few with light foxing to inner margins, original white cloth, decorated in gilt after Charles Ricketts, t.e.g., others uncut, spines darkened, slightly soiled, otherwise a bright and excellent set, 8vo, Methuen and Co., 1908.
Britain.- Walker (J., engraver) The Copper Plate Magazine, or Monthly Cabinet of Picturesque Prints, consisting of Sublime and Interesting Views in Great Britain and Ireland, 5 vol., engraved titles and 250 plates, each with accompanying letterpress leaf of text, except plate no.238 which lacks text leaf, individual index leaf to each vol. at end and general index leaf at end of vol.5, foxing to vol 1-3, only occasional thereafter, bookplates, endpapers renewed, nineteenth century half calf, spines gilt with red and black morocco labels, light rubbing in places, oblong 4to, Harrison & Co. and J.Walker, [1792-1802].*** A scarce set, rarely found complete. The plates include the earliest engraved designs of Turner and Girtin; plate VII of Windsor being the first by Girtin (dated May 1st 1792) and plate LV of Rochester the first by Turner (May 1st 1794).

Medicine.- Tuson (Edward William) A Supplement to Myology; containing the Arteries, Veins, Nerves, and Lymphatics of the Human Body, first edition, 9 hand-coloured lithographs with many flaps, first lithograph slightly cockled at head, 1828, bound with The Anatomy and Surgery of Inguinal and Femoral Hernia, first edition, 3 hand-coloured lithographs with many flaps, 1834, together 2 works in 1 vol., letterpress descriptions, few leaves with very small ink-stain to foot, some very light spotting, light soiling, contemporary calf, prize binding stamped in gilt and presented by Tuson to one of his pupils, brass clasp lock with key, lacking backstrip, lower cover with ink stain to foot, worn in places, rubbed, upper cover nearly loose but holding, folio. *** Edward William Tuson (1802-65), began lecturing in anatomy after qualifying as a surgeon. He initially lectured from Gerrard Street in Soho, before moving to premises in Little Windmill Street. This book appears to have been a prize given to one of Tuson's Little Windmill Street students. The text on the binding reads, "Theatre of Anatomy. Little Windmill Street. May 5. 1835. This prize was awarded to Mr. C.H.M. Mules. For the great attention & diligence display'd in the study of anatomy. By E.W. Tuson."
Abolitionist poetry by a woman.- Taylor (Emily) The Vision of Las Casas, and Other Poems, first edition, lacking half-title and publisher's advertisements, light water-staining to first few leaves, light occasional spotting, contemporary calf, morocco spine label, rubbed and worn with some loss to spine label, 8vo, Taylor and Hessey, 1825. *** An exceptionally rare first edition with only 5 copies on Library Hub and no traceable appearance at auction since 1925. Emily Taylor (1795-1872) was a schoolmistress, hymnist and poet who, in the title poem of this her first collection of poetry, envisions a dying Bartolomé de las Casas, the first bishop of Chiapas whose A Short Account of the Destruction of the Indies and Historia de Las Indias chronicle the first decades of colonization of the Caribbean islands and the associated atrocities. Las Casas' vision ends with his being granted a prophetic glimpse of the abolitionist movement in Taylor's own time, with specific mentions of Thomas Clarkson and William Wilberforce.
Dulac (Edmund, illustrator).- Khayyám (Omar) Rubaiyat, first Dulac edition, tipped-in colour frontispiece and 20 plates by Dulac, with captioned paper-guards, handsomely bound in contemporary green half morocco over vellum by Bumpus of Oxford, gilt, some light rubbing to extremities, and two very small marks to vellum lower cover, overall an excellent copy, 4to, Hodder and Stoughton, [1909].
