(F) MOROCCO AGENCIES - 1936 French currency, KEVIII 5c on ¼d green, lower marginal vert strip of 3, top stamp with var bar though "POSTAGE" (SG 227a), this var occurred on R18/10-12 on just eight sheets, therefore only 24 examples existed, of these only 12 showed the complete bar (of which this is one) with the remainder being partial impressions, all sheets which included this var were from stocks that had been sent to Morocco and show light even gum toning, u/m, a King Edward VIII rarity with 1988 RPS cert, accompanied by a copy of a 1936 article in Gibbons Stamp Monthly regarding the discovery of this variety" (SG 227/27a)
