Folio, in two volumes, hand-bound in full burgundy buckram lettered in gilt, bookseller's ticket to front pastedown (Henry Sotheran), each volume housed in solander box bearing title labels. Victorian "Amherst Japan" pattern part dinner service comprising large covered tureen, covered sauce tureen and stand, ashet (31cm long), 11 dinner plates and 7 soup plates.Condition report:Tureen and cover - Good condition.Sauce tureen, cover and stand - All good condition.Ashet - good condition.Dinner plates - All generally good condition. Two hare small underglaze rim defects (firing crack and small chip).Soup plates - Five in good condition, two with small rim chips. Large late 18th century Chinese famille rose porcelain bowl, the exterior decorated with cranes in a garden with fence and peonies, the interior with floral spray and lattice border. Unmarked 27cm diameter.Condition report:Interior - Glaze impurities, oxidised and rubbed enamels. Some light scratches also larger 2" scratch, which may be very fine but not visible from exterior and rings when tapped.Exterior - Rubbed enamels and gilt, glaze impurities. Very fine 3" underglaze discoloured line or crack where bowl meets footrim though not visible on underside of footrim.As images.

Stamps GB Queen Victoria Collection - to 1918 5 shilling sea horse. Mainly good used with some cds including SG 153 4d PL 15, also includes SG 64 medium garter, 1883 5 shilling nice cds, 1902 10 shilling small light thin otherwise fine, some very high cat stamps with total cat of £9,327 (94 stamps on 2 hagners).
A rare very large pair of Wemyss vases decorated with cabbage rose sprays, impressed mark to base and also painted, height 31 cm. (2) CONDITION REPORT: Condition of these is remarkable, there are no cracks or chips, only light ware and rubbing in areas, typical glaze crazing as expected but even this is moderate.
