A set of three 19th Century Chinese polychrome decorated figures, one seated, one bearing sword, the other grimacing approx. 21-23 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Seated figure - extensive damage and repair to the neck. Right hand missing. Large chip to the top of the seat and broken and repaired to the base of the seat with restoration around the seat in several areas and firing crack to left ear. Figure with sword (or not?) - sword obviously missing with damage to the hilt. Further damage to the helmet or headdress with area clearly missing which would have previously fitted into the slots either side of the headdress at the rear. Base of sword scabbard damaged and missing with damage to the open end of the scabbard. Restoration to right foot. Third figure - damaged to left hand and to base of jacket. There are no signs of further restoration under ultra violet light.

Main body basically sound though with some wear to the detail of images in various panels, particularly the figural decorated panels. The circular foot shows signs of wear and tear and dirt, conducive with age and use. No visual signs of cracks, hairline or otherwise under ultra violet light. No signs of any restoration or repair. There are approx 20 old worm holes to the reverse of the scrolled bracket. One of the corner molds is missing the bottom tip on the right side. The gilding is original. There is a fine crack to the front to the left of the mask but isn't running through the frame. Generally, the piece is in good original condition.

Small pieces of cock-bedding missing from the secretaire drawer, side moulding are loose. Bottom plinth veneers are loose and some are missing. The secretaire handles have been replaced, The interior is complete. Dry colour ands polish, quite light in colour.
