'The Churchill Centenary Picture Medal' a box-medal (diameter 77mm (3'')), struck in 22ct gold on sterling silver containing a complete set of 13 card roundels (diameter of each 70mm) depicting, in full colour, significant events in Churchill's life including his childhood at Blenheim, the Battle of Omdurman, his marriage to Clementine Hozier, his visit to the Normandy beach-head, VE Day in London and the funeral launch as it left Tower Pier in 1965 & all with full details on the reverses. The obverse of the medal has the legend 'BRITAIN'S BELOVED BULLDOG WINSTON SPENCER CHURCHILL' around the facing portrait of Churchill by David Norris, the reverse features Churchill's personal arms in high relief. Issued in 1974 by Toye, Kenning & Spencer Ltd in a limited edition of 500; in fitted case of issue & complete with a small pair of tweezers for handling the card roundels; some light peripheral toning o/wise as issued.

Bernardus S carcilla, and the abbreviated ex voto V. F. G. A., the body approximately 31cm long excluding chains, presented with later frosted glass shade Provenance: Private Collection, The Manor House, Stanford in the Vale, Oxfordshire A circa late 17th/early 18th century design for a similar censer by Baroque sculptor Giovanni Battista Foggini is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Acc. no. 52.570.239Condition Report: Usual minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use.The silvered finish has flaked away in places, showing the darker metal underneath.There is a small area of repair to the lowermost part of the lobed body, and the cruciform terminal is a little askew. The surface has a hammered appearance generally, but the metal is also a little bent and dented in places. As catalogued there are likely later additions such as the masks and chains. A Victorian cast iron X-frame stool, mid 19th century, almost certainly Sheffield, Crichley, Wright & Co., with indistinct registration diamond for March 1859, 60 high, 59 wide, 39cm deepA near identical example of cast iron X-frame stool, albeit with raised superstructure, is illustrated in Georg Himmelheber's Cast Iron Furniture, Philip Wilson, London, pl. 125, Himmelheber gives the exact date of registration as 28th March 1859Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use,The leather seat has been replaced - this is in fair condition overall with light marks from use, and some sagging and stretching.The frame is solid and stable, no obvious breaks or repairs - there is some slight movement and looseness to the joined elements (such as the arms) but overall stands solid. A pair of Baltic blue glass two light wall lights, possibly Swedish, 20th century, each with double spray surmount above blue glass vase bodies, 43cm high overallCondition Report: Both have knocks, marks, scratches to the body, droplets and gilt metal Both blue bodies are formed of two halves (top and bottom) with a wooden spacer between, which is disguised by the central metal band. All elements have been joined via a rod from the terminal to the platform at the top of the glass section. Dreweatts have not fully dismantled these and therefore cannot guarantee the condition of any hidden elements.Some droplets on each sconce have been repaired or replaced and later wire added.
