Corgi - A boxed Corgi #497 'The Man from UNCLE' Thrushbuster. The model in blue with cast hubs, plastic lights appears to be in Excellent - Near Mint condition with some small marks mainly to raised edges. The inner pictorial stand appears in Good overall condition with some storage wear but does contain its Waverley ring. The blue and yellow picture box appears in Fair Plus - Good condition with a detached flap, pen mark and storage imperfections. The lot also comprises a signed black and white photograph of Robert Vaughn (Napoleon Solo) signed neatly in blue on a light section of the image, and which has a certificate of authenticity from East Bristol Auctions on behalf of the vendor at the time a leading AFTAL approved in-person autograph dealer Mark Kirkup. Lot includes Triang T27 Signal Box; Playcraft R342 Two Storey House; Triang R573 Colour Light Signal Gantry; R495 Single Track Level Crossing and similar. Items show signs of use and playwear but generally appear to be in Fair - Good overall condition and are unchecked for completeness, presented in Poor - Good boxes. Lot also comes with a 'Triang Railways 'Servicing Handbook' containing Hornby / Triang related ephemera.
Denys Fisher, Star wars - A boxed vintage Star Wars 15" poseable Darth Vader figure with Light Sabre and Cape. The figure appears to be in Good overall condition with signs of play and use, and is marked 'GMFGI 1978 Made in Hong Kong'. The box appears to be in Fair Plus - Good condition with some taping, scuffing and general storage wear.
Nomura (TN Toys of Japan) - A boxed battery operated tinplate Mystery Police Car by Nomura (TN Toys), measuring approximately 25cms in length. The open top Police Car with tin printed interior contains a Policeman figure wearing plastic cap, a tinplate radio and spare wheel to rear, with siren and light on bonnet. The battery compartment appears clean, and the model appears to be in Very Good condition. The box with detached but present flap to lid , plus pen marking, with tears to base, is in Poor condition with major storage wear and imperfections.
A Napoleon III Brass Bound and Ivory Inlaid Parquetry and Kingwood Cased Travelling Drinks' Set, of serpentine fronted rectangular form, the hinged superstructure and sides containing a lift-out tray, with four spirit decanters and fifteen glasses, and a matched glass, on peg feet, 27cm high. Polish faded, mainly to the top. Some of the veneers are loose but retained. Some other areas where the veneer has lifted, or cracked. The case opens and closes properly. All glassware in good condition. One drinking glass replaced. Some light damages to the glass carrying frame. thr right hand side lid stay damaged but component retained.
A Gilt Metal Six-Light Chandelier, 19th century, with leaf cast boss and chains, cut glass bowl and leaf sheathed scroll branches, approximately 75cm high. All metalwork intact, with some pitting and oxidisation to the gilding but largely very good. The glass dish free from any damage. The chandelier would need to be rewired.
A Thistle Shaped Dram Glass, circa 1760, the conical bowl on a basal ball knop with air tear and circular foot, 9.5cm high. The foot has a small diameter is rather misshapen, probably due to cracks being polished out. There are no further chips or cracks. Some light scratches to the ball. 97g.
A Glass Tazza, circa 1770, of circular form with moulded gallery on a panelled baluster stem and folded foot, 31cm diameter; An Ale Flute, circa 1760, the rounded funnel bowl on a double knopped air twist stem, 20cm high; and A Candlestick, circa 1780, with faceted socket, knopped stem and circular foot, 22cm high (3). Tazza in very good condition, no chips or cracks just some very light scratches. Ale glass with a chip to the foot. The candlestick badly broken and re glued on one side of the base.
A Wine Glass, circa 1750, the rounded funnel bowl on an air twist stem and circular foot, 16cm high; and A Similar Cordial Glass, the ogee bowl on an air twist stem and circular foot, 15.5cm high (2). The wine glass with light scratches inside the bowl, no chips or cracks. Cordial glass in good condition free from chips cracks, and any scratches.
A Herculaneum Pottery Robert Stephenson Commemorative Frog Mug, circa 1833-36, initialled RA and printed in black with Exchange Buildings & Nelson's Monument Liverpool and flanked by locomotives, titled THE NORTHUMBRIAN OF MESSRS R STEPHENSON and THE ROCKET OF MESSRS STEPHENSON & C, the interior with a bust portrait of Queen Adelaide and with two further prints titled CARRIAGES FOR PASSENGERS and THE NOVELTY OF MESSRS BRAITHWAITE & ERICSSON, a naturalistically modelled frog to the base, printed mark, 13cm high See Smith (Alan) The Illustrated Guide to Liverpool Herculaneum Pottery 1796-1840, pl.176 for a similar example. Stephenson's Rocket and Braithwaite & Ericsson's Novelty ran at the Rainhill Steam Trials on 6th October 1829. Of the five entrants, Stephenson's Rocket was the only locomotive to complete the trial and was declared the winner. The Novelty was considerably faster than the other locomotives but a failed boiler pipe damaged the engine during the trial. Following the trial, the Northumbrian, built in 1830 and the last of Stephenson's Rocket-style locomotives, was then used at the opening of the Liverpool & Manchester Railway.. The frog is missing his two front legs. The glaze is crazed all over with some light staining. There are four short hair cracks from the rim showing to the internal glaze only. 12.25cm high by 12.5cm diameter
A Royal Worcester Porcelain Reticulated Cabinet Cup and Saucer, circa 1870, painted with finches and flowersprays within gilt borders on a pink ground, printed marks in puce. Saucer with a section of the pierced rim re-glued. No other chips or cracks, no professional restoration. Some very light crazing and enamel ware.
