An SS Eagle Dan Dare Earth Mars Venus Express clockwork spaceship toy, tin plate with transfer decoration, together with a Modern Toys "Planet Explorer" (boxed) CONDITION REPORTS Planet Explorer box has some scuffs and tears, but the spaceship itself appears to be in good condition with only some minor light wear, the plastic radar is present. However the The Explorer battery box/holder has a corroded battery in it, and some rusting and a loose plate/fitment inside. The Venus express is quite scuffed and scratched, particularly to the underside, and has some rusting to the wheels. Please note that we can make no guarantees as to whether or not in working order.

Signals., 1939 - 1945 Star, Africa Star with 8th Army clasp, Italy Star, War and George VI Territorial Efficiency medal, named to 2586638. SIGMN. A. COXON. M.M. R. SIGS. Along with his medals is a photograph of Signalman Alfred Coxon in uniform and his M.M. Citation which states that on 20th May 1940, an Officer of 11th Bn. Durham Light Infantry reported that the enemy had broken through Wancourt and Baunetz. Signalman Coxon was sent with orders to other units stationed nearby. He went on to carry out his mission successfully, although subject to enemy bombing and machine gunning, 'His courage and determination to establish communications under heavy hostile action rendered valuable service to his Commander and troops concerned'. Formerly The Property of Captain Thomas St. John - who fought in the American Wars of Independence and who surrendered to General Washington in 1781 - George III Light Infantry Officers' sword by Tatham, circa 1800, with steel stirrup hilt, silver wire-bound leather grip, original gold bullion and red silk sword knot, very curved plain blade with rear fluke to point in original steel mounted leather scabbard, the chape engraved 'Tatham Sword Cutler and Belt Maker to The King, 37 Charing Cross near the Admiralty', suspended by two steel rings, the blade 67cm long, the whole 79cm. Provenance: By family descent. Sold with copies of Thomas St. John's Commission in New York Royal Garrison Battalion of Foot 11th November 1776, a copy of his surrender to General Washington 27th October 1781 - 'I Thomas St. John, Assistant Deputy Quarter Master General, do acknowledge myself as Prisoner of War to the United States of America and being permitted by His Excellency General Washington attaining to the articles of Capitulation to proceed to New York and from thence to Europe'. Also his Commission as Lieutenant in New York, 15th September 1782, a copy of his Will and Probate 1827 and other family documents, along with a letter of provenance from his descendant, confirming the sword's provenance
