It has a stainless steel watch case with black leather strap.  Waterproof tested up to 30 metres.  The watch has a light grey dial.  The watch case width is approx. 40mm.  The watch has its Original Omega Winder and a Stainless Steel Omega No.27 Modele Depose fastening.  Condition: The watch is in good working order. The watch is missing one of its winders. There is scratches to the watch crystal.  The dial is in good condition.  The leather strap would benefit from being replaced.

The first volume with a stipple-engraved frontispiece portrait of the author, the second volume lacking frontispiece of Clare's Cottage, both volumes complete with half-titles. Contents well-preserved & bright, some light pencil underlining, untrimmed page edges, contemporary blue paper-covered boards worn and lacking spines (though one is loosely-inserted), boards detached, but internally very good, 12mo. Together with a second edition of the same, again in two volumes, this time in pink paper-covered boards and with both engraved frontispieces present, pale spotting (4)

***RE-OFFER IN 26TH JULY SALE AT £25-£45 FIXED RESERVE OR CUSTOMER TO COLLECT*** Vintage 925 Sterling Silver Synthetic Colour-Change Sapphire ring.  The ring contains a 12mm x 10mm Emerald Cut Synthetic Colour-Change Sapphire and four round cabochon Synthetic Colour-Change Sapphires that each measure approx. 3mm.  The colour changes from bluish purple in flourescent light to a pink colour in incandescent light.  The ring is hallmarked with the makers mark what looks like " C.M.B", the Lion Passant for Sterling Silver, the Leopard assay mark for London and the date letter "O" for 1969.  The ring weighs approx.  7.24 grams.  Condition: The ring is in good condition commensurate with the age of the ring.

INDIAN MUTINY INTEREST Major General Charles Simeon Thomason (The first President of the Piobaireachd Society). 1857 Pattern Royal Engineers officers dress sword by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London. The slightly curved engraved blade (81.5cm) detailed 'Bengal Engineers', with a pierced gilt brass hilt, wire bound fish skin grip, brass scabbard, with red leather full dress sword belt with hangers, gilt lace facing, and gilt buckle.Provenance: By family descent ( Brigadier General William Thomas Clifford Beckett CBE DSO VD 1862-1956 Bengal married. Bessie Thomason Daughter of Major General Charles Simeon Thomason)Commissioned in the Bengal Engineers in 1852 he returned to India, the place of his birth, in 1854. On 11th May 1857 he was in a hospital just outside the walls of the city of Delhi, because of this he was one of the few to survive the massacre and managed to escape at night by dog cart, taking a few of the other patients with him, and using his knowledge of the local water courses to enable their safe passage through the enemy lines. For the next three months, often alone and under fire from grape shot and snipers, he went out to survey the area around the walls to aid in the preparations for the storming of the city. On 14th September he was one of the few engineers to survive the blowing up of the Kashmir gate. Note: You must be over 18 to purchase this item. Condition Report: Blade is in good overall condition, hilt has minor signs of wear, mainly to the scroll, with and some oxidization to the inside, the scabbard has noticeable surface wear consistent with age and use, the sword belt is complete and in uncleaned condition.

It is a natural split along a join, which causes a little warping to the topAreas of rubbing to the top polish, light scratching and surface wear, there is a ring mark to top. long scratch to area below keys, rightStand is not polished.Keys almost certainly bone, but there is an ivory exemption in place. Further condition notes, with thanks to Peter Babington: General condition: Bass hitch-pin rail has parted from the tail; perhaps not too significant, as it is locked in place at either end. Traces of worm at one place in the bottom board. Otherwise structure seems fairly sound: bridge attached all along. Bottom essentially complete.

WWI Australian group of three, 1914-1915 Star, War and Victory, named 125 Dvr. E. A. Blaby, 13 L.H. Rgt. A.I.F., together with two ribbon bars and a 13 A.L.H. cap badge.Eric Alfred Blaby was born in Charlton Victoria Australia in 1895, he was one of seven brothers to Alfred and Crystal Blaby.He was a private in the 13th Australian Light Horse Regiment and enlisted on 7th November 1914. After training at the Broadmeadows training camp north of Melbourne, he embarked from Melbourne on HMAT Persic on 28th May 1915. He arrived in Egypt on 25th June. Then was deployed on 11th September 1915 on defensive duties around the Lone Pine trenches in Gallipoli. He left for Egypt again and in December 1915 and was deployed on the defence of the Suez canal, then redeployed in July 1916 when he arrived in France.On the Western Front he was mainly involved in transporting supplies and reconnaissance. He took part in the repelling of the German St Michael offensive in March 1918. He returned from the war to Australia on 4th July 1919. At 5’5” tall he was quite an athlete. He won a swimming race across Melbourne Bay and was a Melbourne amateur golf champion with a handicap of 2.

King 14 cm high, pawn 6 cm. Complete chess set with detailed and ornately carved pieces. King and queen as Chinese emperors, bishops as mandarins and knights as horses. The pawns are the famous eight immortals, some of them are marked "HOT; FUK und JG 74". All pieces have coloured decorations. All parts with minor chips and damages, a little bit faded and dusty.

Bauer 6,0 cm. (54) * Komplettes Spiel. Fein ausgearbeitete und flach gestaltete Figuren, in Anlehnung an chinesische Schachfiguren. Zustand: Mit Alterungsspuren und Schab- und Kratzspuren. Drei Spielfiguren sind an Bruchstellen unauffällig sachgerecht geklebt. / Asien. Vietnam. Chess set made of bone. One side is stained light brown, the other is natural. Produced in Vietnam, in the second half of the 20th century. King 8,5 cm high, pawn 6,0 cm. Complete chess set. Finely crafted and flatly designed chessmen similar to Chinese chess sets. With minor chips, small defects. and a little bit faded. Three chessmen are inconspicuously and properly glued at breakage points.

(25) * Kompletter Figurensatz aus Holz. Vermutlich eines der noch wenigen erhaltenen Spielen aus der Zeit des so genannten “Dritten Reich“. Die Schachfiguren sind jeweils durch Runenzeichen gekennzeichnet, außer die Springer. Zustand: Mit altersbedingten Benutzungsspuren und kleineren Fehlstellen. Die Einfärbung der Figuren variiert minimal. Seltener Figurensatz aus dem dunklen Kapitel der deutschen Geschichte. / Europe. Germany. “Runenschachspiel” made of Wood. One side is stained light brown, the other is colored dark brown. Production around 1930 - 1940. King 16 cm high; pawn 6,5 cm. Probably one of the few surviving games from the time of the so-called “Third Reich”. The chess pieces are marked with runic symbols, except for the knights. With age-related signs of wear and minor defects. The coloring of the figures varies minimally. Rare chess set from the dark chapter of German history.
