A late 19th century Sevres porcelain cabinet plate centred with the portrait of a young woman with ringlets, indistinctly signed May, with a gilt heightened border on a lemon yellow ground, printed marks to the revers, diameter 24cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a fine 4cm hairline crack, more noticeable to the back of the plate, rubbing to the gilding and a few light surface scratches throughout, otherwise OK.
An Arts and Crafts walnut refectory table, the broad crossbanded top raised on lattice work open end supports united by a central stretcher, bearing a plaque inscribed "Heal & Son, London", length 152cm, width 76cm. CONDITION REPORT: Has been used as a dining table and has surface marks and wear. Light surface scratches - please see photos.
JOAN GILLCHREST (1918-2008); oil on card "Old Harbour at Newlyn", signed with initials lower right, signed and inscribed in artist's hand on label verso, 48 x 37.5cm, framed. The vendor purchased the painting approximately 30-35 years ago and have had it hanging on their wall ever since. A Royal Worcester porcelain circular plaque hand painted with a landscape with lake, a cottage and ducks, signed R Rushton lower left (Raymond Rushton), marked and titled in puce to the back "Near Wonersh", date code for 1917, diameter 10cm, framed and glazed. CONDITION REPORT: Light crazing throughout.
LAURENCE STEPHEN LOWRY (1887-1976); a signed limited edition coloured print "The Meeting Point", signed in pencil lower right, bearing blind stamp and letter to number stamp for 323 lower left, published by Adam Collection Ltd, 47 x 71cm. This print was purchased by the vendor's father c.1973 and has never been framed or exposed to light. It is presented with a mount and the original brown paper which has covered it since its purchase, along with the footnote of purchase price of £50 + VAT. (D) CONDITION REPORT: As this has been wrapped in original paper, not framed or exposed to light, it is presented in excellent condition, the colours are remarkable, no foxing, no staining. A British Linen Bank £20 note issued in Edinburgh 15th November 1957, serial no.E5 01/500, a Bank of Scotland £20 issued in Edinburgh 26th March 1958, a Victorian 1891 silver crown, various commemorative crowns, a pair of cufflinks and a Sekonda wristwatch. CONDITION REPORT: Notes: Both creased and with small folds to the corners. Very light foxing. One with pin hole sized hole. Cost to post within the UK approx £18 plus VAT.
WILLIAM RALPH TURNER (1920-2013); oil on board, street scene with man climbing steps, signed, 26 x 23cm, framed. (D) CONDITION REPORT: Some light surface dirt and tiny flecks of gold paint to the very right hand side of the image where it appears the interior of the frame has rubbed on the board, to the left of the figure on the steps there is the ghostly outline of a building, and it is possible that the artist has changed his mind during the piece and overpainted or it is possibly there by design. ROLEX; an 18ct white gold day/date wristwatch with diamonds and sapphires set throughout, inner case numbered 18200, bracelet numbered 8385, movement serial number 6837303, approx 137.2g, glass, diamonds and sapphires are after market additions, unboxed and without papers. CONDITION REPORT: Light surface wear but overall OK.
A George V leather cased tortoiseshell and silver gilt mounted miniature carriage clock, the swing loop handle above circular orange guilloche enamel dial set with Roman numerals with French movement and spreading feet, the case hallmarked for London 1917, the handle London 1921, height of clock 8.25cm. CONDITION REPORT: Very fine cracks to the dial, light wear to the case, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A small early 20th century bisque headed doll with open blue glass eyes, closed mouth and red hair, wearing a gypsy dress, height 24cm, a further papier-mâché example with leather hands and a miniature example in tartan outfit and curly blond hair, length 12cm (3). OMEGA; a gentleman's vintage two tone gold plated and stainless steel Constellation wristwatch, the circular dial inscribed "Omega Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified Constellation", with date aperture and gold batons, on leather Omega strap, boxed, width excluding winding crown 3.4cm. CONDITION REPORT: The watch ticks freely when wound but this is no guarantee that it is in full working order. Only light surface wear to the case. Glass is good and overall presented in good condition. Box only, no papers.
