A Baccarat style paperweight, with three canes, with goat, stag and dog, framed by floral canes. Diameter 7.9 cm, height 5.1 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are numerous small surface scratches which become more notable when looking through a jeweller's loupe. To the right of the goat there is a small pinhead size internal flaw which if this had been on the surface of the paperweight one would describe as a bruise. There are one or two very light chips around the side of the surface but in our opinion these are not detrimental and it remains an attractive paperweight.
An American Sterling silver "Julep" cup, with beaded rim and base on a tapering body, struck to the underside "Mark J. Scearce, Shelbyville, Kentucky". Height 9.5 cm, 151 grams. The cup is free from any inscriptions and is a good gauge throughout. There are no signs of any repairs, dents or knocks however there are some very light surface scratches.

After Isamu Noguchi, a contemporary glass topped coffee table, the table base comprising of two shaped sections of natural hardwood supporting a large heavy shaped glass top, originally designed in 1944. The top 128 cm x 95 cm, height 41 cm overall. CONDITION REPORT: The glass top is free from any chips. There are one or two light surface scratches but nothing that in our opinion is detrimental. The wooden base is generally in good order. The top edge shows signs of where the glass has sat. The base appears to be free from any losses, splits or flaws.
William Darling McKay R.S.A (1844-1924), "Feeding the Cattle Early ***", initialled W.D.M oil on canvas, artist label verso inscribed in ink, 41 cm x 61 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The painting is in extremely good original condition. It has not been relined. We can see no evidence of any significant damage, repairs or restoration. There may be a small scratch immediately to the right of the W on the initialled signature. We have examined the picture under a UV light and again this does not reveal any restoration. The painting may have been cleaned in fairly recent times and is not in an original frame.
Louis Timmermans (Belgian 1846-1910), "Treport, Normandy", and "Near Trouville, Normandy", a pair, each signed, oils on canvas, each with a gilt and velvet slip and matching ornate foliate scroll frame, 20.5 cm x 44 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The paintings appear to be in extremely good condition. They have come in from a local private source and are well framed and in our opinion ready to hang and be enjoyed. The rear of the frames are enclosed with brown paper which looks to have been in situ for around 30 years in our opinion. We cannot therefore see the back of the canvas. We have looked at the paintings under a UV light and can see no evidence of any repairs or restoration. The paintwork itself is extremely good with next to no crazing and no paint loss at all. Both frames are in extremely good order and as stated previously, the pictures could be hung and enjoyed in their present state without the need for any work.
Two pairs of silk curtains, beige with embossed foliate pattern, drop +/- 320 cm, each curtain width +/- 190 cm, with one pelmet width +/- 224 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Whilst the curtains are not perished they all have varying degrees of fading and evidence of water discolouration particularly to the linings. The larger of the two pelmet drapes is faded from bottom to top edge. The second drape is universally faded. Both linings are a little yellowed. The linings on all of the curtains are discoloured and show signs of watermarks. The patterned sides are all faded. The fading is not universal as it corresponds to how the curtains were probably hung. The colour differences are not dramatic but they drift in and out of a light gold colour to a paler beige. The curtains do not smell musty. We do not know if they are natural silk or not.
