There are approx 20 old worm holes to the reverse of the scrolled bracket. One of the corner molds is missing the bottom tip on the right side. The gilding is original. There is a fine crack to the front to the left of the mask but isn't running through the frame. Generally, the piece is in good original condition.

A GOOD QUEEN ANNE BURR WALNUT AND HERRING-BANDED BUREAU BOOKCASE the moulded cothice above mirrored doors revealing a shelved interior with small base drawers and candle slides. The bureau with angled fall reveals a stepped interior of small drawers and alcoves above a bank of two small and three long graduated drawers with shaped brass handle plates and raised on shaped bracket feet; the sides fitted with large brass carrying handles.99cm wide 57cm deep 226cm high A very good genuine piece, the top and base are original, the mirrors are original but the silvering has perished and the mirrors are grey colour but you can still see your reflection in them. The handles, side handles and brass locks are all original, no keys. The finish is a nice light colour. The fall is slightly bowed but still shuts, the interior is all original and the leather is probably a 19th century replacement.

A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ORMOLU AND CUT GLASS DECANTER SET with three bulbous cut glass decanters and stoppers, together with nine liqueur glasses, fitted on a mirrored ormolu mounted stand with egyptian style sphinx shaped feet.39cm high 31cm diameter. This is in good overall condition. There are some nibbles and flaked chips to the bases and rims of the drinking glasses. The decanter stoppers have tiny microchips. The decanters are in good condition with no cracks to the bodies. Some small chips to the rims of the decanters. The handle is in good condition with no cracks or chips and the mirrored base is worn on the edges and has some light surface scratches. The ormolu is not misshapen and sits flush. The gilding is in good condition.

The 10" silvered engraved dial having outer minute ring surrounding subsidiary seconds and hour dial, the winding arbour to the centre of the hour dial fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with deadbeat escapement, jewelled pallets and end stops, six-spoke wheel work and Harrison maintaing power run on a large and heavy compensated pendulum with Invar rod and large brass bob all mounted on a brass bracket fitted to the backboard204cm highThe clock has come from a retired jewellers in Preston. They have serviced it regularly and was working when we removed it from the premises. The case has a few small knocks on the mouldings and two small splits on the trunk door. Images have been uploaded. The dial has light marks on the silvering. The movement is clean and in good working condition with original pendulum. Comes with winding key and door keys.

All of the mouldings are present, the brass inlays and mounts are in good order. There is a small flaked chip at the back of the top edge which is approximately 10mm.
