Lieutenant Colonel Austin Travis (Steven Seagal) and his special forces team infiltrated a hijacked 747 mid-flight using an experimental stealth aircraft variant known as the F-117X Remora.Based on the real Lockheed F-117, this model miniature consists of a black fiberglass resin casting with decals, including Air Force star insignias, black transparent acrylic windows, a recessed black dome in the nose simulating an infrared turret, and a small red dome light that is nonfunctional on the top. He was a pioneer in searching for artwork for his collection and began contacting artists to inquire about their works in the mid 1980s. Over time he developed personal relationships with many renowned artists including Ralph McQuarrie, Drew Struzan, Lawrence Noble, and Dave Dorman. In 1986, Plumb organized the "Space Fantasy & Reality Art Expo" at the Maturango Museum in Ridgecrest, California, to benefit the handicapped. The event was supported by contributions from Plumb's artist friends and even Lucasfilm - all of whom loaned materials to Plumb for the display.It was through these personal relationships that Plumb acquired many of the finest pieces in his collection. Throughout the years, Plumb organized or appeared at countless other events and shows, where he proudly displayed his collection and discussed his passion for Star Wars original art with both artists and fans. In 1996, Plumb hosted a panel at San Diego Comic Con on collecting Star Wars artwork specifically. This blueprint of loyal droid R2-D2 was originally drawn by draftsman Peter Childs, then printed and distributed on "The Star Wars"-branded drafting paper barely two months prior to filming. It originates from a 1976-era Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) crew member. Labeled "Port Elevation Robot 'R2,'" the blueprint identifies several components of R2's design, including a five-inch-wide step and various greeblies on his front and back. It is designated as the third of four sheets reissued by the production on January 23, 1976 to accommodate a design modification to top of the droid's legs. This blueprint underwent professional paper restoration to address water damage, making the stains less visible but muting down some of the original blue coloring in the process. The print has been linen-backed for stability and exhibits minor stains and wear along its edges from use. The costume features a pair of Levis light-wash jeans (size 28) and a salmon pink sweater made from recycled cashmere (size M). Both items exhibit faux blood stains on the left thigh of the jeans and the chest of the sweater. A faux bullet hole has been created in the heart area of the sweater where Darlene was shot. The gun turret has two dark gray replica guns made of cast resin. The corners of the top of the turret underwent restoration, as they had previously broken off, and both pieces exhibit some discoloration and chipping from use and age.
