Good very fine and toned, very rare. bought Spink, April 1900. Freeman records only one example of the light issue of this moneyer (SNC April 1983, no.1847).

Freeman records only three examples of this moneyer for this type, all of the light issue; this appears to be the first published example from the heavy issue.

Shallow scratch along laurel, light patina, very fine and very rare. bought Sotheby, 29 April 1904, lot 165 The improvements to the harbour at the mouth of the Tiber, though started by Claudius were completed in the reign of Nero and celebrated by this coin. This important type combines naval and architectural themes.
