COMPLEX - COMPLEX - The holy grail now with the 1st pressing record from the Lancashire band. Not only is this LP a testament to the groundbreaking nature of British psychedelia, only 99 copies of the record were ever pressed (strict tax laws made it extremely hard for a small group to produce more copies than this). Formed by Tony Fisher and Brian Lee in Blackpool in 1961, the band was originally called The Ramblers, playing covers of The Spotnicks and The Shadows. After Lance Fogg (bass) and Tony Shakespeare (drums, vocals) joined, the album was hastily recorded and cut at Craighall Studios in Scotland. EMI offered the band an audition, but a recording deal never bore fruit, but the band still went on to record a second album 'The Way We Feel' which is also highly sought after amongst collectors. The whole album is full of hypnotizing, dreamy harmonies and often mournful melodies (take for instance the lyrics from 'Norwegian Butterfly' - "Oh, My Norwegian Butterfly, This Love Means All The World To One Like Me, Oh, Set Me Free, No No No), this LP really is way ahead of its time and you are unlikely to find many copies of this on the open market. The record is in Ex condition with just a couple of light surface marks that are really only restricted to side 2. No heavier marks or scratches whatsoever. The notorious sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is a split both at the top and bottom, but this could easily be repaired, and these are a few light creases to the reverse. Signed by Complex bass player Lance Fogg who has consigned this record to auction.

THE BLUESTARS - SOCIAL END PRODUCT - The second 7" release from these heavy garage fuzz monsters! A furious release, this was put out on Allied International (JAR-540). The record is in VG condition. There are several light surface marks to the record, perhaps most notable on the A side where there is light scuffing that runs with the groove. However, there are no deeper scratches so playback should not be greatly affected. Housed in rare original company sleeve which is in VG+ with no rips or tears.
