Stacy-Marks Ltd, 120-122 Terminus Road, Eastbourne, Sussex, stock no. 27902/D748 gabriel Deschamps was born in 1919 and studied at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris. From 1939 he was a State Art Professor and a member of the Paris Autumn Salon. He was best known for his evocative landscapes depicting Provence. His paintings perfectly capture the fresh, vibrant colours and the intense quality of light in that region. Deschamps' paintings were sold to many collectors in the United Kingdom in his lifetime and his works are represented in important private collections in Switzerland, Belgium, Brazil, USA and Argentina. A Stuart Turner S50 horizontal engine forming part of a live steam plant, the S50 horizontal mill engine, with single cylinder 5/8in bore x 1 1/4in stroke and spoked flywheel, outside steam valve, lagging to single cylinder, displacement oiler and control valve fitted to pipe leading from Stuart Turner 504 gas fired copper boiler with fittings including sight glass, pressure gauge and safety valve. Hand feed pump, water storage tank, belt driven dynamo generating power to a light standard. The model finished in green, black and red paintwork with polished brightwork and mounted on polished hardwood plinth
A well engineered 3 1/2 inch gauge model of a 4-4-0 American style locomotive and tender 'Virginia’, the copper boiler with sight glass, pressure gauge, safety valve and regulator, clack valve, reserve gear lever, chassis with twin outside cylinders and Stephensons link reverse. Tender with double bogie wheel arrangement, brake and hand operated water pump. The model is finished in blue and black paintwork with wooden cab roof, bell, light and cow catcher fitted to front. Tender sign written 'Denver & Rio Grande’. No boiler history available. Total length 114cm
A well engineered 7 1/4 inch gauge model of LNER No 1306 B1 'Mayflower’ 4-6-0 Locomotive and tender, built to the Martin Evans design 'Roe Deer’ and detail of Mayflower in preservation. The model with silver soldered copper boiler and stainless steel superheaters, cab with pressure gauge, regulator, sight glasses and wooden planked floor, oilers, whistle, water feed by injector, mechanical feed pump with by-pass and auxiliary hand pump in tender with extension handles, outside cylinders, Walschaert’s valve gear with reverse in cab, mechanical lubricator, drain cocks operated from cab, working leaf springs, steel tyres on centre drive wheels with fluted motion, disc brakes fitted to tender. This fine working engine has only completed forty hours of light passenger use and a video of the locomotive running will be played at the auction room on view days. The model being finished in LNER Green lined livery with fitted steps, hand rails, lamp irons and lamps. It comes complete with a purpose built enclosed transportation trailer and carrying bars. Boiler History: Boiler Serial number KB06002. Original Boiler certificate No 4407 issued by the boiler makers Kingswood Boilers of Bristol with a hydrostatic test pressure of 200psi dated the 22nd of April 2006. signed by P J Carr. Southern Federation of Model Engineering Societies Boiler Test Records Norwich DSME Hydraulic test 200psi expiry date 23rd of April 2009. Steam Test No 121525 Working pressure 80psi.
