Some small nicks, mainly to the edge. Metal rim slightly out of circular. Tarnished, slightly bent. Base has large split to the metal and resulting damage under, broken in two places. The rat with his paws to his mouth has one applied black eye missing which has been coloured in with paint. The baby rat seated by the seed pod has his outer black applied eye missing, and coloured in with paint. The baby rat standing standing upon the tail also has one of its applied black eyes missing, and coloured in with paint.

The second cabinet - some stains to the top, dark scratches, light scratches, impressed marks, veneer is becoming loose in places, some losses to the veneer, the door around the top hinge has been broken with a loss of veneer, and repaired. All over some losses to veneer, chips, scratches, etc.

MUGHAL SCHOOL "Study of a gentleman holding flag sporting a fish, while astride a horse made of the interlocking bodies of five ladies, raised on a jade green ground, with Hindu script below", oil, 22 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Quite a lot of craquelure and cracking to the paint. Some undulations to the surface. Picture is circular and appears to have been cut out and applied to the brown backing paper. Appears to have undergone various repairs and restoration including to some splits and tears which have also been recoloured in. Much of the green appears to have been repainted. Colours of gilding differ and appears to have been restored and with repainting. Under UV light general has a fairly milky appearance and has probably been revarnished.

IN THE MANNER OF C H LITTLEBOY (19TH CENTURY) "Heraldic crest featuring hippocamp and lion, surmounted by a crown, with motto Nil. Desperandum", oil on panel, unsigned, 36 cm x 46 cm CONDITION REPORTS The paintwork is crazed all over and there is some bubbling effect to the red velvet swags. There are surface scratches all over, especially to the right side and the area covering the lion. There is some flaking to the paint, especially on the right side bottom corner just below the swags. There is some loss to the gilding and wear to the other paintwork. There appears to be a hair stuck into the paint on the lower right corner of the heraldic panel, near centre. Under UV light there are two dark marks either side of the heraldic panel gilt base above the i and dum. In need of a clean. General wear and tear. The frame is battered and missing some veneer. 18TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Gentleman in grey wig, blue jacket, and armour breast plate", possibly Sir William Dick Baronet of Prestonfield, Edinburgh, Scotland, portrait miniature, oil on copper, unsigned, housed in a leather case, the back of the inner removeable velvet covered frame/mount bearing an inscription on paper "This miniature picture is of Sir William Dick Bt of prestonfield deceased ... immediat elder Brother to Sir Alexander Dick Bt his .... successor in the title and estate given him by his niece the Countess of Ballcarres August 3 1779" (sic), 8 cm x 6 cm CONDITION REPORTS This picture comes from a local private vendor, there is no provenance with the picture. The case leather is scratched and flaking to the top all over and especially to the hinge to the back. The silk behind the easel stand is ripped. Inside the velvet is dirty and worn to the two middle sections where it has been pressed against the miniature. The glass has small chip to the top. Under UV light through the glass the painting has a few small dark dots near the bottom of the picture and a couple of small dark dots to his hair, but otherwise the painting has an overall even slightly milky appearance. In natural light the surface of the painting has an all over textured / bobbled appearance. There is a scratch to the miniature in the right top quarter. Generally in need of a clean.

Mackenzie Foveran Karel du Jardin 17N An Italian village street with boy and donkey panel 9 x 9½ inches", 22 cm x 24.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Painting is framed and glazed and sealed within the frame, so unable to inspect fully. However, through the glass, the painting can be seen to have quite a lot of craquelure, although the cracquelure is less pronounced to the blue areas of the sky to it is possible there may have been some restoration in that area. Some very small pitting marks throughout and some small scuffs. Through the glass it would appear that there has been some restoration, and there have been some flakes of missing and re-coloured, and there are some areas where the craquelure not as uniform, suggesting restoration, including to the boy and to the dog. Under UV light several areas appear dark, suggesting restoration, including the whole of the dog's head and front left leg, the boy's back leg, edge of boy's head and forehead, top of donkey's head and some areas to his legs and body, and some areas centre foreground, plus a few other small areas throughout. In natural light the dog's head is painted quite a dark colour.

Condition: There is some sticky residue from stickers, there are a couple of dents to the outer rim, slightly mis-shapen. The bulb holder appears to be a replacement. The ferule beneath the holder does not fit flush with the ball pivot. There is a blob of glue or solder and a small hole on the side of the stand. Overall with undulations and craquelure to the paint, some un-eveness to surface. Several horizontal cracks to the paint. The frame has various chips and losses and some areas of repainting. Several large cracks / scratches running horizontally across the picture. There is a water mark running down the length of the picture. Dirty throughout and especially in top right corner where there is a brown mark. Various pock marks. General wear and tear. The frame has some splits and repairs, gilding is worn.

Some streaky marks. Under UV light several areas of repair and restoration are evident, particularly an approximately crescent shaped repair to the standing figure's left should, edge of face, hat, and to the left of the figure. 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL A family Heraldic crest featuring a winged crown above the crest with motto "Probitate. et Labore" with stag to the upper left corner and wolf to the upper right CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear, scuffs, craquelure, undulations to paint, roughness and pitting to surface, some lumpy paint areas. There appears to be the faint outline / shadow of a slightly larger crest beneath the current painting which is showing around the edges of the current crest, swags, tassels, wings, etc. This extends around the winged area, the swags, tassels and to the loops and edge to the right side and also beneath the draped fabric to the left and the rope. The frame has various chips and losses. The board bears canvas remnants glued to back. Under UV light some, but not all, of the shadowy/ridges areas which seem to indicate another crest beneath, show up dark, overall the appearance is quite milky, and probably revarnished. Repaired hole top centre.

A snuff box (probably Berlin) in the form of a cavorting couple in 18th Century dress, set on a floral decorated mound with sheep, bearing the motto "Vous aimer fait mon bonheur", with agate set hinged lid opening to reveal an interior set with three floral sprays, the gilt metal mounts embossed with floral and scrolling decoration, 5 cm wide x 5.3 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Some light scratches, some wear to the paint and giltwork especially evident on the gentleman's tricorn hat. Possibly the loss of a flowerhead to the lady's hair. Some light scratches throughout. The lid feels slightly loose to the pot and has got a dent to the rim, needs some attention. A pair of 19th Century Spode cabinet plates "Barrack and Queen's Bridges Dublin" and "Annamo County of Wicklow", each depicting bridges, 22.7 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Both have some light general wear and quite a lot of dirt. There are some scuffs and scratches to the gilt decoration and to the picture decoration to the centre, and some firing deposits, but both appear to be sound.

A pair of Adam style green painted simulated marble urn stands with square Sienna marble top, raised on a four sided tapering columnar base decorated with applied gilt swag and torch mouldings to plinth base, 26.5 cm x 113.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS First stand - splits and repairs to the marble to the top in various places, small chips etc to the edges. All over signs of woodworm, general wear and tear, chips, scratches etc. Second stand - large chip to top, various other chips, various repairs throughout, light scratches, woodworm holes, scuffs, general wear and tear, paint appears to be bubbling down one side. Both have various signs of wear and tear throughout.

ATTRIBUTED TO BENJAMIN BLAKE (CIRCA 1770-1830) "Grouse, Snipe and English Grey Partridge", still life study of game, oil on panel, unsigned, bearing paper label verso, 21.5 cm x 17 cm CONDITION REPORTS There is crazing / craquelure all over. Various pock marks and some flaking. Some surface scratches all over and some cracking to the right side approx half way down, and 2cm in. There are few small dark spots which show up under UV light . Frame has some losses, and especially to the corners and general wear. Please see images.

A Clarice Cliff "Bizarre" pattern coffee set with blue crocus pattern comprising coffee pot, cream jug, sugar bowl, five cups and six saucers CONDITION REPORTS The teapot has been broken and restored and it would appear that the entire handle side has been off and been put back on again. Crazing all over, resprayed. Tea cups, milk jug and sugar bowl all have wear and tear, surface scratches, some small chips to rims, crazing. All items show up very dark under UV light.

ALICE VAN HEDDEGHEM (Exhib 1906-27) "Scattered roses and hyacinths upon a stone ledge", oil on canvas, signed lower right, 38.5 cm x 117 cm (ARR) CONDITION REPORTS Image has some light scratches, there is also a line running all the way along horizontally visible at certain angles - possible flaw in the canvas exaggerated by the paint. Under UV light there is a darker patch just left of centre in the top half - possible repainting. Some cracking to paintwork especially in the central area. Has general wear and tear. Frame has general wear and tear to include some splits.Canvas has been cut to back and probably reframed. See images for further details.

A Japanese black lacquered inro decorated as a cage containing three birds, the base of the case decorated with two three-toed dragons, raised on red cabriole legs, the inro made up of four sections and a lid, the cord set with a carved ivory ball, the inro approx 7.2 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The ivory ball has a large cracks and some yellowing and discolouration. The lacquered inro itself has some light wear and scuffs and one of the sections is slightly stiff. Some rubbing and wear to the lips to interior where sections have been opened and closed. Some dirt and deposits to interiors. Bears a label to interior which is partially stuck down and bears script. There is an area of damage to the exterior to one side and sections of the raised beaded laquered edges are missing in this area, and an area of the giltwork beside it is missing and is currently plain black (please see photos), some of the blue/green decoration around this area is also missing.

Tea bowl 4: light surface scratching, pitting again evident. Saucer 1: pitting to surface in several areas and to base. Saucer 2: no obvious chips/cracks. Pitting to surface. Scratching to surface. Saucer 3: glaze has run in places, pitting evident. Dirty in places. Heavily pitted on underside.
