One can feel the cracks edge on the outside and the inside. There are two or three small holes to the work.  There are two or three small nicks on the edges of the image.  There is a dominant circular mark top right circa 2cm diameter.  The circular stain close by above is of the same ilk and there are other marks/circles similar throughout the background cream border.  Outer mount has discoloured and has foxed spots. Light surface dirt.

Initials in the box below the image of the nude.

Hugh Birkett (1919-2002) Pair of chairs, 1952oak, with drop-in fabric seatssigned and dated87cm high, 46cm wide (2). Both appear stable and not wobbly.  Light marks to wood and a few stains to upholstery.  Staining to the cushion underside.Slight crack to back of one about 10cm and a small chip to front leg. The upholstery has been loosely fitted, and we see pins to underside.  Looks like the original upholstery still present beneath it in a red colour. Water splash marks to legs. Chip circa 1cm to top of one. Condition report photos added.

No woodworm, stable.  Two others - Yellow upholstery - sturdy, light marks, crack to veneer on one of back legs.  Little stain to yellow ribbon on upholstery. Green upholstery - light marks, and light abrasions.

Rubbing and abrasions to the framing edges. Craquelure throughout, some of which has previously started to lift and has since had some infilling in order to stabilise it. This is most evident to a horizontal line running along the centre of the work. Some light discoloration to the clouds in the sky. Inspection under UV light reveals scattered infilling throughout.
