The tapestry panel is in very good order. Supports overall in good condition but with evidence of some historic repair and replacement back legs. They appear to be a good match to the front despite obvious difference in age, however, we have uploaded sufficient images for bidders to make their own judgement.

From the Estate of a pioneering property titan and generous wine lover, this lot was previously stored in the underground cellars of the Garrick Club in London.

The abbreviated Latin legend on the obverse translates as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Empress of India."Peck says this design is based on reverse B of current Penny of 1895.Provenance:Ex Michael J.
