A Royal Worcester baluster vase with gilt heightened upper section to the neck and main body decorated with Highland cattle in a landscape beside a river with bridge, signed "H. Stinton", opposed by a vignette and raised on a spreading gilt heightened foot, puce printed marks, numbered H307, date code for 1901, height 21.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Some minor rubbing to the gilding and a few surface blemishes, under a strong light the gilding to the upper section of the neck appears irregular, although there are no obvious signs of restoration, it may be that where the ring neck section is to the vase that there has been either some regilding or old repair, otherwise in good order.

An unusual mid 19th century Copeland & Garrett porcelain tureen and stand painted with the crest of the Chicacole Light Infantry (34th Madras Infantry) and baskets of flowers throughout, height 16cm (af), a 19th century porcelain vase painted with a landscape scene, height 13cm, and two 19th century hand painted mugs (4). CONDITION REPORT: Tureen - two hairline cracks to the rim. Hairline around bottom of bowl. Large section of base rim reglued. Rubbed crest on base and rubbing to gilt throughout. Vase - 7cm of rim restored and rubbing throughout. Farming mug - one quarter of the body restored. Other mug - crack to base.

A Grafton China twelve setting tea service decorated with birds in flight, printed marks to base, comprising two sandwich plates, twelve side plates, twelve cups and saucers, jug and bowl. CONDITION REPORT: Some light rubbing to the gilding, a few knife marks and surface wear, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

Lot 75

A 925 grade silver vesta case of rounded rectangular form with scroll decorated border, a Niello rounded rectangular small vesta and a further white metal vesta bearing the initials "F.D." underneath the lift up lid (3). CONDITION REPORT: Scratches to the 925 grade, heavy wear to the enamelling on the Niello example, light surface scratches to the third example.

LAURENCE STEPHEN LOWRY (1887-1976); a pencil study "Stockport Street Scene", signed and dated 1937, bearing Tib Lane Gallery label verso, 26.7 x 9.5cm, framed and glazed. A copy of the original bill of sale dated 1971 from the Tib Lane Gallery is available with this lot, it has been in the possession of the vendor who purchased the item since this date. CONDITION REPORT: There is a horizontal crease a quarter of the way up the page. Slight thumb/fingerprint brown stain just above this line and a vertical light brown line on the left about 2mm in from the edge where it perhaps was once mounted differently.

A 19th century rosewood veneered writing slope, with brass mounts to the corners centred with a shield shaped vacant cartouche to the top, enclosing a red velvet lined slope and stationery compartments, 35 x 23cm and a similar walnut veneered example with leather lined slope (2). CONDITION REPORT: There are some splits to the veneer on the top, also some areas of minor scratches, one major dent approx 6cm in length, a few small areas of veneer missing mainly to the corners, also there is very light scratching to the brass mounts commensurate with age. Walnut example has a major split to the veneer on the top, a split full length, small areas of splits to the veneer on the sides, three areas of major scratches to the front.

A Minton secessionist ribbed vase glazed in shades of light green and blue and with tube lined stylised floral decoration, impressed and black printed marks to base, height 20.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a manufacturing flaw to the body of about 1cm, looks like a gouge, crazing throughout, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

A Shelley floral decorated tea and coffee service comprising teapot, coffee pot, milk jug, sugar bowl, five cups, cake plate, six saucers and six side plates, the cups with floral detailed handles, printed marks, no.11993. CONDITION REPORT: One cup badly cracked, one saucer badly cracked, cake plate worn and rubbed, slight wear elsewhere to the green decoration. All light/dark green printed mark (see photo).
