ERNEST HEMINGWAY, a mid-20th century engraving, by L. Hecking, 'Heavy Destroyer - World War II', 1944. Inscribed and signed in brown ink by Ernest Hemingway "(Cojimar) - 1951, To Capt. Milauss, Ernest Hemingway. In 1951". Hemingway spent time in Cojimar Cuba, and it is where he was inspired to write The Old Man and The Sea. Included with this lot is a copy of The Old Man and The Sea, 1954, with dust cover. The etching framed and glazed. (2)
Jean Nicoll, etching, "Westmorland". 8.25 ins x 12 ins, signed and dated June (19)53. CONDITION REPORT: This picture has recently been re-framed but could do with being taken out and remounted due to a slight ripple in the paper. There are also a number of white specks which appears to be a splattering of paint to the centre and right hand side. You will see this from our website image. Otherwise it is in good order.
