Collection of three late-Georgian satirical caricatures: 'New Metropolitan Police Men on Duty' ('A Metropolitan Police Constable seizing a desperate villain'), hand-coloured etching on wove paper by "Sharpshooter", published in London by John Fairburn, September 18 1829, 32cm x 23cm. 'The Silver-Oar versus The White-Wand -or- The Helmsmen', depicting the Duke of Wellington (Prime Minister), King George IV, and Prince William, Duke of Clarence (the cartoon is satirising the dismissal of the Prince as Lord High Admiral), hand-coloured etching on wove paper, published by John Fairburn, August 1828, 32cm x 22cm. 'Writing the K-g's Speech', depicting the Duke of Wellington and Sir Robert Peel seated at a table, hand-coloured lithograph, John Doyle (HB), c.1830, 31cm x 24cm. All three framed & glazed. (3)
Small collection of late-15th to 17th-century engravings, including: ‘Cerve Fugax Facilis Varios Audire Sonores’, engraving on laid/chain-lined paper, possibly after Maerten de Vos (1532-1603), from ‘The Five Senses’; David with the Head of Goiliath, 17th-century engraving; ‘Les Trois Graces’, 17th-century etching, also ‘Jupiter et Europe’, possibly Peter Beretin de Cortona; woodcut illustration of a badger taken from a 17th-century work, probably ‘Paralipomena’; c.1577 engraving depicting Ruth and Boaz in the barn, possibly Hendrick Goltzius (1558-1617) / Johannes Janssonius (1596-1664). Together with three lithographic botanical plates by P. Stroobant, and a hand-coloured etching depicting dog breeds, published 1791 for the Royal Encyclopaedia, plus a small collection of 19th-century bookplates. Condition varied. To also include a pair of 17th-century ink drawings, possibly German, still lifes with flowers and fruit in baskets, dark brown ink heightened with grey watercolour, on laid/chain-lined paper, with attribution letter from Philips, dated 1999, suggesting German School.

Clay, [1821]; together with another view 'James Town, St. Helena, looking to Ladder Hill Barracks', by Clark after Wathen from a 'Voyage to India', etching and aquatint with hand-colouring, on wove paper without watermark, 210 x 270 mm. Saint Helena.- Durand-Brager (Jean Baptiste Henri), after. Three views of Saint Helena, 'Rade et Ville de Jame's Town', Long-Wood', 'Vue de James-Town', tinted lithographs, on thick wove paper, each sheet approx. 440 x 580 mm. (17 1/4 x 22 3/4 in), and smaller, nicks and tears, some spotting and surface dirt, [Edité par Gide, Paris, 1844]; together with three other works, including 'Tombeau de Napoléon', by Hostein after Sanson, an etching with mezzotint of Napoleon in gardening attire, and an engraved view of Saint Helena, various sizes, all unframed, [early 19th century] (6).

Goya (Francisco, 1746-1828) Pepo Illo doing homage as he "plays" the bull, plate 29 from La 'Tauromaquia', etching, burnished aquatint, drypoint and burin, on laid paper with partial text-based watermark in italics ending 'hes', platemark 240 x 350 mm. (9 1/2 x 13 3/4 in), sheet 320 x 490 mm. (12 1/2 x 19 1/5 in), acidic stain from previous mount just outside the platemark, otherwise minor surface dirt, [1815 and later].
