A 1796 pattern light cavalry officer`s sword, broad, curved, shallow fullered blade 33", with faint traces of etching overall and a little gilding at forte, regulation steel knucklebow with langets, plain pommel and backstrap with ears, wirebound leather grip, in its steel scabbard (throat mount and one hanging ring missing). Basically GC (dark rust patina to hilt and scabbard)
