William Lionel Wyllie (1851-1931) 'Unloading the Catch at St Michael's Mount', c.1900 drypoint etching, signed 'W L Wyllie' l.l., inscribed as titled and dated on label verso image 14 x 23cmCondition report: Housed in an acidic mount causing yellowing to the edges of the sheet, light rippling to the paper, otherwise condition is fine.
Frederick Landseer Griggs (1876-1938) 'Epiphany', 1918 (Comstock, 23) etching, inscribed 'To M.C. Gere from F.L. Griggs' in pencil, from an edition of 93 sheet 23.3 x 18cm, unframed The plate was not published, but was presented to Griggs' friends after the end of the First World War. The inscription is the first and second antiphons from the First Vespers of Christmas in the Roman breviary and reads: 'The King of Peace, whom the whole world desireth to see, hath shown his greatness; The King of Peace hath shown his Greatness above all the kings of the whole world.'. (Comstock)Condition report: The sheet is attached with two pieces of tape to the mount, some light soiling and a few areas of light foxing emerging, an old horizontal crease along top margin but this is well outside of the plate mark.

Griggs' in pencil l.r., second state from an edition of 55 sheet 13.5 x 18.2, unframedCondition report: The sheet has been cut out close to the plate mark and stuck down flat onto card, it is mounted, there is time staining to the sheet rendering it an off-white tone, specks of foxing emerging.
