A BRITISH 1845 PATTERN INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD, BY GRINDLEY & CO., LONDON the 32 3/4 inch (83cm) slightly curved, fullered blade etched with crowned VR device and panels of scrolling foliage, the back edge unnumbered, the regulation brass hilt with a VR cypher and wire-bound fish skin grip, in its brass scabbard, overall 100.5cm long. Condition Report : Blade etching over-polished and slightly faint; fish skin worn.
