De La R' etched below ricasso, probably for surname De La Rue, proof mark within star of David to ricasso, etching to obverse of ricasso worn, pierced branch form guard with cipher within oval reserve, shagreen wired grip, stepped pommel with compressed globe finial, metal scabbard with two ring hangers, 39in. (99cm.) long overall.
