Francesco Rosaspina (Italian, 1762-1841) after Parmigianino (Italian, 1503-1540) "The Lovers" etching with aquatint 20 x 15cm (8 x 6in) The present etching was executed after one of only approximately fifteen etchings dating from 1527-1530 that Parmigianino produced himself during his period of experimentation with the printmaking process in the 1520s. Some scattered foxing in the margins. Image clear and crisp.

A very good .177” BSA Cadet air rifle, number B18304 (1946-49), the metalwork having blued finish, the air chamber etched “The Birmingham Small Arms Co Ltd” etc, the walnut stock formed from 2 pieces and with BSA logo impressed into the butt.
