Archibald Gilchrist Paton (Scottish, 1863-1964), The Egyptian Hall, British Museum, signed in pencil, etching, framed. Plate 20.5cm square Note: Archie Gilchrist Paton was an architect and engraver who was articled to John Keppie of Honeyman, Keppie & Mackintosh in 1908, studying at the Glasgow School of Architecture until 1914 and, after the war, working as an architect throughout Scotland in various roles. He regularly exhibited his etchings, watercolours and drawings at the Royal Glasgow Institute throughout his life.
