S77531, one of the last produced in 1914, with blued 19 1/4in. barrel (45in. overall) dove-tailed fore-sight, elevating rear-sight, tap action breech marked with the 'piled arms' logo and '2 LOAD', patent number '8246/06' stamped to securing plate, plain air-chamber etched 'THE BSA STANDARD AIR RIFLE .22 BORE' bisected by the 'piled arms' logo over 'THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO. LTD. ENGLAND' over 'SOLE MAKERS' (etching browned but quite legible), single pin trigger unit with screw trigger weight adjuster to front of guard and marked 'PAT.30338-10' above the serial number, chequered walnut saw-handled butt-stock inlet with a factory fitted folding peep-sight (Patent 26943/07), ribbed heel, no provision for fore-end and side-catch under-lever stamped with BSA patents, fine condition with much original finish throughout. A GEORGE V SCOTTISH REGIMENTAL OFFICER'S DRESS SWORD FOR THE SCOTTISH BORDERERS, early 20th Century, with 32 1/2in. double-edged plated steel blade with two narrow fullers on each side, etched on both sides with Royal cypher to one side and 'KING'S / OWN / SCOTTISH BORDERERS' and regimental crest over, ricasso with proved plug to one side and Edinburgh retailer's details over, plated cross-guard, wire-bound fish-skin grip and steel pommel, together with its field scabbard with plated steel fittings, etching thinned with a little staining to the blade, fish skin thinned in places, some plating lifted on pommel and chape, 40 1/4in. overall. This bladed product is not for sale to people under the age of 18. A straight double-edged blade, decorated with an etching plant ornament with an inscription in Cyrillic "To Comrade Frolov S.A.", "Zlatoust, 1928". The steel scabbard and handle are richly decorated with etching in the Zlatoust style, gilding and blueing. On the scabbard is an inscription in Cyrillic "Cooperative / Metallist / Zlatoust". A rare item for a collector of artifacts of Soviet Russia. Excellent condition. Length 39 cm.
