Hastings Vestiges of Antiquity for a series of etching and engravings of the ancient monetary of St Augustine with the cathedral, castle and other antiquities in the suburbs of the metropolitan city of Canterbury. A diver's knife by Siebe Heinke, England:, 8 inch double edged blade signed as per title, brass hilt and black Bakelite handle, in a brass scabbard. *Note- The etching on the blade reads 'Siebe Heinke England'. This dates the knife to 1962 when Heinke was taken over by Siebe Gorman. The dual names were only used for 2 to 3 years before the Heinke name was dispensed with. * see page 107, vol 2, 'Diving Helmets and Equipment Through The Ages'.

Williams (Charles), A Peep into the Pump Room or the Zomersetshire folk in a maze, published S.W.Fores, 1818, etching with contemporary hand colouring, 280 x 380 mm, mounted, framed and glazed, together with, Dighton (Richard), John Bellingham taken at the Sessions House Old Bailey May 15th 1812, A Gentle ride from Exeter Change to Pimlico, Ireland in Scotland or a trip from Oxford to the land of Cakes, Members of the Whig Club..., Byng-Go, The Morning Chronicle, A View from Baxter's Livery Stables Cambridge [and] Shaw! what are you there?, circa 1810 - 22, together eight etchings with contemporary hand colouring, all framed and glazed, various sizes and condition The first described item shows The Pump Room at Bath, crowded with people all straining to catch a glimpse of Queen Charlotte, who sits in an arm-chair facing the water dispensing pump. She holds a large wine glass of water and clutches her stomach, exclaiming "Oh! my belly! my belly! Oh the water the water!" Leaning on the back of her chair is the Duke of Clarence, later William IV who was also visiting Bath at the same time as his mother. (9)

Etching of a small dog, 1842, uncoloured etching on India laid, pencil signature of artist below image together with an annotation in the artist's hand 'Etched and bitten in half an hour at Buckingham Palace July 2nd 1842'. In another hand is another pencil legend 'This plate is supposed to belong to the Queen and that one other impression is known to be in an amateur collection', and in another hand, 'Bought at the Blessington sale', image size 150 x 110 mm, paper size 245 x 185 mm, remains of old manuscript labels of provenence on verso of frame, mounted, framed and glazed (1)

'HB'), slight dust soiling, each approximately 260 x 315 mm, with another ten caricatires including examples by Bunbury, Bretherton, Cruikshank and Heath, various sizes and condition (approx.120)

(1878-1971) Framed, signed with initials and signed in pencil to margin, 'The London Pilot', etching on paper, and FREDERICK ARTHUR FARRELL (1882 - 1935) Unframed, mounted, signed in pencil, blindstamped, etching on paper, showing the houses of parliament, additionally signed by F. G. HARDCASTLE, 21cm x 25cm, 16.5cm x 23.5cm and 16.5cm x 26.5cm, (3).
Attributed to Paul Heermann (1673-1732) - Cupid pissing, ivory relief carving, signed with monogram lower centre, 12.5 x 9.1cm, in later ebonised mount and silk and velvet lined leather case, the carving is based on a 1640 etching by Joachim von Sandrart the elder (1606-1688) Condition Report / Extra Information Three vertical hairlines from top. Spectacles rim missing to right eye. Otherwise ivory appears good and complete. Later case with age wear.
