Johann Wilhelm Weinmann (German, 1683-1741)'Tulipa lutea Sanguineis' from 'Phytanthoza Iconographia'and four others, similar, of tulips from the same albumetching with hand colouringplatemark 33 x 21cm, one in a slightly smaller frame (5)Condition report: All with occasional very soft creases and very light discolouration as one would expect with the age. One with a hard crease in the right margin, and one that has a slight yellow stain throughout. A couple have some light pale brown foxing stains. A couple with some small light indents to the paper. The colours overall are good, a couple are slightly faded and one has a slight smudge of purple underneath the left tulip. The ink of the text has smudged on one. One has a light shimmer to the surface of the paper as if some sort of powder has been spilt on it. None seen outside of the glazed frames. Please see additional photos for details. Phytanthoza Iconographia was published 1737-1745, however we believe these to be later impressions and are more likely 19th century.

Large pale stains throughout the margins, along with light surface dirt and light speckles of foxing. A spot of damage to the mane that looks to have been restored. A few tiny white specks to the printed area which seem to be lack of ink. Unframed first state: The paper has yellowed to a light brown. There are light creases to the margins. Some discolouration stains in places. A few spots of foxing. Surface dirt throughout. There are some pale smudges around the vultures, and there is a white spot of damage top right just outside of the platemark.
