Goya (Francisco, 1746-1828) Pepo Illo doing homage as he "plays" the bull, plate 29 from La 'Tauromaquia', etching, burnished aquatint, drypoint and burin, on laid paper with partial text-based watermark in italics ending 'hes', platemark 240 x 350 mm. (9 1/2 x 13 3/4 in), sheet 320 x 490 mm. (12 1/2 x 19 1/5 in), acidic stain from previous mount just outside the platemark, otherwise minor surface dirt, [1815 and later].
