An oil lamp with barleytwist type brass column and Corinthian capital to circular base, peach reservoir with enamel detail and peach glass shade with etched floral decoration and clear glass chimney, height to shade rim approx 67cm. CONDITION REPORT: Very minor nibbles to shade interior rim, small chips and nibbles to shade base, some loss and rubbing to enamel decoration and visible manufacturing imperfections, some rubbing to etching on shade and manufacturing imperfections, general surface wear commensurate with age, use and display.
An oil lamp with brass Corinthian column to circular base, green foliate decorated reservoir, duplex burner and green glass globular shade with etched detail and clear glass chimney, height to shade rim approx 73.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Abrasions and uneven finish to shade rim, minor nibbles to shade base, rubbing to enamel and gilt decoration of reservoir, visible manufacturing imperfections, otherwise ok. Some rubbing and manufacturing imperfections to etching on shade, general surface wear commensurate with age, use and display. The font does not screw off, it is unclear whether this is because of design or owing to a seizing in the brass.
