A Bavarian infantry officer’s sword (1825-48), slightly curved, pipe backed blade 32”, with traces of etching, ornamental brass hilt, turn down quillon, inverted “sunburst” langets, guard incorporating small scroll, forward angled lion’s head pommel, no backstrap, darkwood grip fluted on the inner side and diced on the outer, which incorporates lozenge panel embossed with the cypher of Ludwig I (1825-48), in its steel scabbard with brass mounts and 2 rings. A mid 18th century hunting sword, slender tapering fullered blade 22”, with narrow back fuller to central section and faint traces of etching, brass crossguard with spiral fluted centre section (finials bent), finely spiral fluted ivory grip (cracked along the back edge) rounded pommel cap embossed with lion’s head and shell, stud button tip.
