(36cms) blade with three-quarter length fuller and floral etching, the hilt with bar guard in gilt metal, canted square graduated ivory grip and gilt metal dome pommel, leather scabbard with gilt metal mounts, overall length 19in. Unexamined out of frames. Some time-fading and discolouration around the edge of the first picture. Also a crease visible from the top edge down about 5cm long in the middle of the image. Discoloured near edge of the mount. Second piicture has suffered some ruckling and appears to have discoloured through time. Also edges discoloured where images/paper meets the edge of the mount. Otherwise both pictures in general good condition.

Vintage signed Christmas greetings card, the 8vo folding card featuring a colour illustration to the front cover, being a reproduction of a painting by the illustrator Howard Davie depicting Queen Philippa's visit to the First Cloth Hall at Norwich in 1335, signed ('from your devoted May') to the inside, beneath a printed greeting. Dated 1925-26 by the Queen who has also added a holograph note beneath her signature, 'grateful thanks for the lovely ivory box & pretty etching'. Some very light, minor age wear, about VG
