A scarce Ed VIII 1897 pattern infantry officer’s sword for the Indian Army, straight, fullered blade 32”, by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London No 66078 (for 1937) on backstrap, etched with crowned R Arms, EIR cypher and wreath in panels, regulation plated hilt incorporating crowned EIR cypher, pommel and chequered backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its plated scabbard with 2 rings. GC (blade etching faint, some plating wear, mostly to scabbard). Plate 1
* Follower of Rembrandt Van Rijn, 18/19th century- Figures gathered before a nobleman by a draped table in an interior; pen and brown ink, the table with ink wash, on laid paper with a crown watermark, 18x28cm: Note: The Central figure being one of Rembrandt`s most identifiable and familiar caricatures, the turban and robes reminiscent of Belshazzar`s Feast c.1636-8 and most noticeably the etching Abraham Sending Away Tragor and Ishmael, 1637.
