An 18th century hunting hanger, curved, fullered blade 20” (slightly shortened during its working life), with narrow back fuller, etched with flower heads in foliate panels (etching worn), brass hilt, the turn down shell guard embossed with classical figure in stylized foliage, with quillon, loop to knuckelbow and flattened cap shaped pommel, the top (split) embossed with running deer and dogs, horn grip.
