And Children, trying to find something down a drain, slightly yellowed at mount edge, plated fairly clean.

LEON UNDERWOOD [1890-1975]. Mukul, 1921. Drypoint etching, edition of 25 prints. Inscribed & dated in the plate, 14 x 10 cm. Mukul Dey was an Indian painter/etcher who attended Underwood’s classes and became a pioneer of drypoint etching in India. Literature: ‘Leon Underwood’, C. Neve, 1974, Thames & Hudson, p.56. A rare signed Minotaur etching - the majority of the edition were unsigned, bearing only the studio stamp signature. This is the most sought after of the Ayrton Minotaur etchings.
