* Julius Komjati [Hungarian, 1894-1958]- A woodman gathering faggots:- etching, signed in ink in the full margin, also signed and dated 1930 in the etching top right on laid paper 40 x 29cm * Biography. Komjati lived most of his life in his native Hungary. However the ten year period he spent in London, 1928-1938, had a profound impact on the course of British etching. He studied under Malcolm Osborne at South Kensington and during his stay in England produced 74 works published by H.C. Dickens, each in editions of 75. He was elected a member of the Royal Engravers and the Society of Painters & Etchers.
