RENE LALIQUE (1860-1945); a 'Cinq Cheveaux' clear and frosted glass car mascot circa 1925, embossed signature to rim, raised on chrome column, terminating on wooden plinth base, height 17.5cm (af).Footnote: this famous mascot is the earliest known example made for a specific vehicle, the Citroën 5CV, when it was presented at the 1925 Art Deco Exposition in Paris.Additional InformationMinor chipping to relief point on horses heads, chip to the top, internal crack near where the horses legs are, see additional images, wear to chrome and plinth base. We have removed the figure from the base and the base of the figure has general surface wear, no major faults, the amber coloured glass panel which is based inside the chrome mount has a chip/piece missing, the mount bears no stamp. The mascot can be removed from the mount.

Stick two surface wear, wear to detachable sconces, each not perfectly circular, possible repair to each candle holder (see image). Please note, having viewed the candlesticks more closely, the line which we originally thought was a repair could actually be from the manufacturing process. Early 20th Century French gilt spelter figural lamp, modelled as a maiden holding a torch aloft, on naturalistic circular base and serpentine plinth, 86cm high overall Condition: Gilding maybe slightly later than original manufacture date of figure (looks like Woolworths gilt of the 1920's/30's), figure probably circa 1905/10. Lamp has bayonet fitting but no shade. Figure is drilled to wrist with remnants of wiring but will require refitting by a qualified electrician. Some wear to gilt patina of left arm. General wear to some high points. Typical flake losses to serpentine plinth. Drill hole to centre of back and another to circular metal base. **General condition consistent with age

Edwardian inlaid mahogany triple-fusee musical bracket or table clock, Anonymous, circa 1900, the 7-inch silvered rectangular dial with foliate engraving, silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic minutes beneath three subsidiary rings for Chime/Silent, Slow/Fast and Chime on 8 gongs/Westminster Chime, the anonymous movement chiming on eight coiled blued steel gongs and striking on a ninth by a pin-barrel, the break-arched case with inlaid ribbons and cornucopiae over satinwood-banded glazed door on inlaid base with ogee bracket feet, 55cm high Condition: Dial - minor tarnishing to plain centre within chapter ring, movement appears to have been renovated at some stage with a number of unused holes, unsigned, case is slightly pale in some areas but otherwise intact, minor cracking to left hand side of plinth base and some discolouration to inlaid bell flowers to all sides of base, replacement glazing to sides to rear door (should have silk-backed pierced metal sound frets), sold with key, pendulum and winder - **General condition consistent with age

According to Sir Richard Branson (in his autobiography, Losing My Virginity), the song 'became Number 1 in every country in the world that had a chart.'Provenance: Vendor worked for Virgin Music Publishers and has provided the following quote about the award: 'It was a sad day for those of us who worked at Virgin when Richard Branson sold the Virgin Music empire to EMI in 1992. Virgin Music Publishers were the first to have to pack up their things and leave. As part of the creative team we were allowed to take mementos, Karma Chameleon was my favourite track of the decade, it was a kind of karma-justice losing my job but being able to take the Ivor as a keepsake'

Currently ticking. Dial probably cleaned / re-silvered.
