He was made free of the Clockmakers` Company on 5 October 1724 and became a Steward of the Company 21st July 1745.++An attractive clock, not unsympathetically restored, probably original to the case and working when removed from the present private consignor`s home

EDWARD HARRISON, WARRINGTON, A George III mahogany longcase clock, the hood with swan neck pediment, gilt flower bosses, blind fret cornice and fluted columns above a blind fret frieze and waist panel door enclosed by three-quarter fluted corners on panelled plinth and bracket feet. The brass dial with painted sun and moon phase and sporting scenes, the arch engraved, "The Moon Is Appointed For Seasons", the pierced spandrels and signed chapter ring enclosing a second subsidiary dial, the 8-day four pillar movement striking on a gong, 226cm high.
