The saint is depicted alongside the Church of San Pascual Bailón in Torrehermosa, Calatayud, Spain, also known as the Church Nuestra Señora La Blanca, built in 1734. On its original polychromed and gilded alabaster plinth. Saint measurements: 40 x 28 x 12 cm. Total measurements: 54 x 28 x 15 cm. Depicted in the habitual way, with a Mercedarian habit. It has the constant attribute, which is the pyx with the holy sacrament. At his feet is a Cardinal’s mitre.
John Dobie, Tanfield: an 18th Century eight-day longcase clock, the 13inch arched brass dial with roman hours and arabic minutes, with subsidiary date and seconds dial, the arch with painted moon phase and striking a bell, contained within an oak hood with dentil moulded cornice and fluted corinthian columns, above an ogee waist door, flanked by canted angles, raised on a plinth base, 213cms high.
A 19th Century French ormolu cased mantel clock, by Vincent & Cie, the white enamel roman dial with arabic minute quarters, fitted an eight-day barrel movement, striking on a coil gong, the case decorated with anthemion leaf and scroll design, bevelled glass panels around body, the plinth base with egg and dart frieze above stepped feet, 17 x 14 x 25cms high.
Hans Muller, Austrian (1873-1937): a transitional Art Nouveau/Deco bronze of a naked female kneeling and playing an Egyptian style harp, the harp picked out in gilding, the figure with dark brown patination, on a rectangular base, and marble plinth, signed H.
