VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER PRESENTATION HUNTING TROPHY depicting huntsman with fox in hand and hounds at his feet on naturalistic base raised on ebonized tapering plinth with presentation plaque engraved 'Presented to W.J Buckley Esquire April 18th 1895' Birmingham 1894 makers mark Elkington & Co. 41 Troy ounces approx the silver top. 31.5cm high. CONDITION REPORT: Good overall condition, a little dirty. No obvious major losses or damage. Surface scratches and minor dents as expected. Ebonised base has some chips to rims and scuffs and general wear. Hallmarks clear, engraved inscription is worn.
SIR WILLIAM GOSCOMBE JOHN, (British, 1860-1952), 'Sketch Model of the Statue at Aberystwyth', of Charles Edwards, DD. Patinated bronze on oak plinth. The bronze figure 34cm high. Note: Thomas Charles Edwards (1837-1900), Welsh minister, writer and academic, the First Principal of the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. CONDITION REPORT: Overall no obvious damage.
19TH CENTURY FRENCH ARCHITECTURAL ORMOLU MANTEL CLOCK, the case surmounted by ram's head and swag mounted urn over an arch pediment with pineapple finials, circular enamelled face with Roman numerals, above two painted French porcelain panels on a platform base with bun feet. Two train drum movement striking on one bell, together with a gilded wooden plinth. The clock 36cm high. CONDITION REPORT: General surface wear to the case, no significant damage or losses, movement and face are loose within the case. Plinth base has significant losses to and wear to gesso and gilding.
A rare and unusual English bronze bust of Queen Victoria, after Joseph Edgar Boehm, mounted on an ebonised plinth with silver plaque inscribed "To The Honourable Victor Alexander Brisbane William Cochrane Baillie, from his godmother Victoria RI, 1897", the bust inscribed "Victoria RI" to the front, and "Boehm Fecit" to the reverse and stamped Elkingotn & Co., 46cm high (N.B. Victor Cochrane Baillie became the third Baron Lamington and was son of the governor of Queensland, Australia)
