The panelled back is in good order as are the columns. The top surface of the cabinet has some minor liquid stains to the polish and some surface scratches. The moulded edge to the top is in good order all round. The left-hand frieze drawer has a stress fracture across the drawer front running full width. The middle drawer also has a similar but far fainter stress fracture to the veneer. The same comments apply to the right-hand drawer. Strangely enough the pleated fabric is actually over wood over a mahogany panel. It is not glazed. All doors close correctly and are not warped. All locks and escutcheons are present but we do not have any keys. They are all unlocked. The sides of the cabinet are in good condition with no splits. The plinth base has the usual marks and scuffs around the extremities as one would expect.

The sides of the top are in generally good condition with the exception of the rear bottom corners where there is a split on both sides. The upper doors are not significantly warped and meet correctly in the middle. The original lock is present but we have no key. If the lock were operable then the doors would close flush. The left-hand door bottom panel moulding is missing. The right-hand door top panel moulding is missing. The door panels themselves are not split. The sides of the base have scratches but no splits. The top left-hand drawer has the upright section of cockbeading missing and the lower drawers both have losses to the cockbeading. There are some minor losses to the crossbanding around and between the drawer fronts. The plinth has minor marks and small veneer losses as one would expect. The legs are original and in good order as are the backboards. The locks and hinges are original but are not named. There is no sign of any woodworm.

There are some minor traces of what is clearly old long gone woodworm to the top glazed door extremities and the side return mouldings. There are minor nibbles and scuffs to the case but no major problems. The door is not warped and closes as it should. The lock is present and we have the key. The base has rubbing through to the softwood around the extremities and the usual scuffs and marks around the plinth as one would expect. There do not appear to be any significant repairs.
