A superb museum quality hand made wooden model of USS Contellation - 1797 - Frigate of the US Royal Navy. Superbly hand made and finely detailed model, to museum quality. The hull made from overlapping miniature planks, and finished with various metal details. The deck being fitted with stairwells and guns. Mounted on a wooden plinth, with metal plaque to front. Superb model. Measures approx; 84cm tall x 92cm long. Condition is largely very good, with little to no damage present (buyers are reminded to satisfy themselves as to specific condition prior to bidding, irrespective of description. The hull being made from overlapping planks of wood, with minute detail. Comes fully rigged, with cotton sail. The deck features an impressive array of guns, lifeboats, and other items. Many details in cast metal. Mounted onto a wooden plinth base. Measures approx; 82cm tall x 93cm wide. Condition is largely very good, with little to no damage at all. A Victorian oak open bookcase with adjustable shelving on a plinth base CONDITION REPORTS Height is 113 cm x width 139 cm x depth 43.5 cm approx. Has water stains, ink marks, etc, throughout. Losses to the edges and all over, minor chips, etc. Shelves appear to have been cut and are a bit awkward to manoeuvre. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for more details.
A MAGNIFICENT (9th) Q O LANCERS SILVER CENTREPIECE ON PLINTH. Hallmarks for 1872 by the London Makers Stephen Smith, of considerable size and fine detail. A 9th Lancers Officer with lance in hand, stood beside his horse beneath a palm tree. Complete with sword, saddle, reins, pistol, and associated patrolling equipment of the period. With rocky ground below and engraved on a plain rock-face, 'A 9th Lancer Indian Mutiny 1857-58'. Then below this where horse, officer and palm tree are all screw mounted hence detachable, a hard wooden shaped base. Below this is the oval shaped lower plinth mount, adorned with a 9th Lancers badge on one panel, in silver form. This taken from the 9th Lancers Pouch design AR entwined with reversed AR, in the associated lot. Another silver plate on a plinth panel is engraved with the following details. Surgeon John James Clifford MD was attached to the 9th Lancers around 1854, serving for many years as their Surgeon including during the Indian Mutiny. It was in this War that he was awarded the Indian Mutiny Medal with three bars, Lucknow, Relief of Lucknow and Delhi. (See associated previous lot) It was also here that the Regiment were given their nickname, The Delhi Spearmen for their actions . Renamed the 9th Lancers in 1861, with several Victoria Crosses awarded to the Regiment over various Wars and Campaigns. Described as 'The beau Ideal of what a British Cavalry Regiment ought to be in oriental countries. The centrepiece bearing hallmarks to tree roots, ground and many other parts. The plinth has a later replacement wooden end turned end fitted. John James Clifford was born in Sligo Ireland. 8th September 1821. MD Edinburgh 1843. 7th August 1846 S Staff 18th August 1846 96 Foot. S Staff 2nd Class 9th Dragoons 27th January 1854. A Surgeon 2nd Class 9th Dragoons 28th August 1857. Surgeon Major 9th Dragoons 7th August 1866. Retired on Half Pay with Hon Rank of D I C 2nd December 1871 Died at Slough Buckinghamshire 3rd September 1889. His Will states, John James Clifford or sometimes James John Clifford, formerly of Chair in County Tipperary in Ireland. Late of Cloonburg, MacKenzie Street, Slough in the County of Buckinghamshire. Surgeon of the 9th Lancers who died 3rd September 1889 at Cloonburg. The will was proved at the Principal Registry by the Revd George Hewitt Hodson, of The Vicarage Enfield Middlesex. PLATED MILITARY SILVERWARE. Including a 1942 H M S Cabot bowling trophy, on a plinth. Engraved Payr Lt K H Stevens, 4. 1/2" high. A 13th/18th Hussar Officer on a stone base, with a plaque below. A plated cup and related sporting medal to Pte E Grant Assaye Day 1948, 880 yds. A plated cup Eddie Grant Billiards 1949-50, of the 1st battalion HLI. A pair of plated 16th Foot goblets, won by Lt Butler at Hythe 1874 of the 16th Bedfordshire Regt. With ornate decoration, standing some 6.1/2" high.
A large Lladro limited edition 'Sweet Enchantment' figure, no.128 and stamped 'Escul Catalá Blanes' to base, height approx 42cm, on wooden plinth. CONDITION REPORT: Surface wear, scuffs and marks, glaze flaw to neck (see pic), dirt, wear to base and unglazed bottom of her foot, usual manufacturing imperfections.

W BERRY OF MINEHEAD; a 19th century mahogany eight day longcase clock of small proportions, with floral carved broken swan neck pediment above domed brass dial, the silvered chapter ring set with Roman numerals, with fluted and reeded Corinthian quarter columns to the body, on plinth base terminating in bracket feet, height 141.5cm.

A late 19th century Bavarian Black Forest collectors' cabinet, the broken swan neck pediment surmounted by a pair of game birds above two doors with deep relief carved floral decoration revealing twelve carved short drawers, two further drawers to the lower section, the base with single drawer above two further carved doors to a plinth, width 75cm.
A live steam 3 1/2" gauge locomotive with brass finish and TICH crest to rear plate, with Western Steam Ltd boiler certificate (year of manufacture 2015, boiler no.1039, maximum allowable pressure 80 psi/5.5 bar, hydrostatic test pressure 160 psi/11 bar, further owner history and operating instructions), length approx 40cm, presented on model track plinth, cased. CONDITION REPORT: Some parts appear unfinished but please judge from pictures and request more if necessary, general wear throughout, some sections loose on fittings.
