Cornforth, Macclesfield, with swan neck pediment and ball finial, over painted arched face depicting the seasons, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, flanked by reeded columns, boxwood strung trunk, shaped door, plinth base, canted corners, on bracket feet, 240cm high.
19th century oak and specimen wood longcase clock by Glase, Bridgnorth, anchor escapement striking bell, the swan neck pediment flanked by finials over painted arched face, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, baluster turned half columns, shaped trunk door, plinth base and bracket feet, 227cm high.
An early 19th century Walton pearlware figure group of a couple with attendant dog and swan, entitled Songsters, h.20cm; together with a 19th century Staffordshire figure 'The Sailors Return', h.23cm; and a Staffordshire figure of the Empress of France, h.19cm (3).Songsters – several small chips including to man’s head, dog ears, head of swan and flowers, the woman’s right arm has a hairline crack around its circumference.The Sailors Return – minor chips to both figures, several larger chips to the plinth, losses to foliage to the reverse, several large firing cracks to underside, possible restoration to the sailor.Empress of France – losses to baby feet, hairline to baby right arm, heavy restoration to back of chair and base.

A 19th century mahogany breakfront library bookcase, the broken architectural pediment with dentil cornice and plain frieze over four astragal glazed doors, enclosing adjustable shelves, the base fitted with three blind frieze drawers, the centre drawer with fitted secretaire over four recessed panelled doors to a plinth, w.203cm, h.271cm, d.58cm.Interior depths – outside sections 31cm, centre section 38cm.Glass all good, not all period glass but matches very well.Small moulding loss to side.Approx. 11” fine split to top.Centre right door with minor warp but closes well.Split to left hand side of top, but complete.Moulding loss to one side, but present.Pediment good.Colour and timber quality excellent to front, fair – good to sides.All locks present, but we only have key for glazed doors.Stands well.

A late 19th century continental porcelain table centrepiece of card-players , the six high society figures all in 18th century dress and centred around a card table, the whole raised on a circular plinth, decorated in bright enamels heightened in gilt, underglaze blue crossed sword mark verso (some losses), dia. 32cmCondition report: Figure in red tunic lacking small finger to left hand. Seated lady lacking cards in her hand, two firing cracks to base of dress. Chip to chair. Seated gentleman in purple tunic lacking cards from hands. Gentleman in floral tunic with damaged cards in both hands. Standing lady with loss to three fingers of right hand, index finger to left hand, object missing from left hand, and losses to neck ribbon and hair flowers. Seated lady in yellow dress with small loss to cards in right hand and flower on hat. Flower applied to base with losses. Some handling wear to enamel and gilt but generally good.
