A Large & Impressive Early 19th Century Balloon Clock. The movement striking a bell and having an 8 1/4 inch (21 cm) round enamel dial signed Richard Ganthony, Lombard Street London and umbered 402, with corresponding number and name engraved into the brass back-plate. The mahogany and satinwood case of fabulous quality having rosewood cross-banded borders outlined in stringing. The square pediment sweeping up to a small platform surmounted by a flaming urn finial. The moulded plinth base with a band of nulling to the front, raised on brass lion paw feet with corner ornamentation, 28 ins (71 cms) in height.
A Fine Victorian Marquetry Credenza. The figured walnut break-front top measuring 83 ins (212 cms) in width with a moulded frieze above two central cupboard doors, marquetried in various woods depicting bouquets of flowers strikingly contrasted against an ebonised background with lavishly scrolling borders, and flanked by open carved foliate pilasters with bowed velvet lined shelves either side. Standing on a swept plinth base, 40 1/2 ins (103 cms) in height.
